Video: Taylor Night Football ‘89

Since the 49ers offense has been awful. We figured we’d revisit what an offense is supposed to look like. Here is the full Monday Night Football game against the Rams back in 1989. This was the game where John Taylor had 11 receptions for over 280 yards. Two touchdown receptions over 90+ yards. The video comprises of 8 videos (80 minutes) Enjoy.

  1. Man… I’m watching this game and I’m getting all misty-eyed. Who are we going to have pumping up the offense out there? Jim Burt, Matt Millen, Ronnie Lott, all of them were talkers. Excitable, animated… we need a guy like that on the offense. Well, we have Vernon Davis but somebody has to bring that personality onto the field and into the huddle.

    Great vid.

  2. For those of you who produce football videos, you might want to add some football theme video backgrounds for adding text or scores to the video. Here is a site that offers football themed video backgrounds, http://www.studio1productions.com/Animations/sports-3.htm
