The Eddies: Week 13

theeddie.jpgHere are the winners for the Eddies for the game against the Saints. Offensive Player of the Game: The Eddie goes to Joe Nedney for his fifth onside kick recovered on the year.

Defensive Player of the Game: The winner on the defensive side goes to Sammy Davis, for not getting burned for a touchdown.

Player most likely to give up a sack by a guy who was signed off the practice squad that very same day: Kwame Harris gets the honors, for letting Josh Cooper right by him and get the sack on Alex Smith.

Player most likely to kill the momentum when the team creates a big play: Alex Smith wins the Eddie for his interception that halted any chance for a lead after Nedney’s onside kick.

Player most likely to get their ankles broken from Reggie Bush’s jukes: The entire 49ers defense shares this award.

Bandwagon Person of the Day: Gordon Wood, former Helix High football coach who coached both Reggie Bush and Alex Smith. Wood was decked out in a black Helix High shirt and Saints visor. I wonder if Wood would have switched over to a 49ers visor if Smith was having the bigger day.
