The 49ers and Barry Sims agreed to a new one year deal. Barry Sims was a UFA and scheduled visits with other teams, but in the end he resigned with the 49ers for a year.

In giving up sacks that is. Through 8 games Sims has given up 7.5 sacks (tied with Levi Brown) and Joe Staley has given up 7.
