Strickland Re-Signed

The 49ers maintained their cornerback depth Friday by reaching a one-year, $800,000 deal with Donald Strickland.

The 27-year-old Strickland, a former third-round choice of the Colts, will be entering his third season with the 49ers. He started seven games over the past two years in San Francisco.

He spent three years in Indianapolis, one year in Philadelphia and three seasons with the 49ers.

  1. That’s too bad. I was hoping they’d let Hudson and Brown develop by giving them more playing time.

  2. We should of got D.Hall… I DONT KNOW WHY da raiders got him.. haha..
but yea hopefully we get CHAD JOHNSON.. i just read dat he wants out of Cinci.. if nolans wants Smith to have a breakthrough year.. We need OCHO CINCO.. Think about it.. Carson Palmer already has T.J. Whosyamomma.. He doesnt need Chad.. Alex does.. Nolan needs to Wake up and pay whatever is needed to bring chad to the bay area!!!!!!!

  3. Takeo is considering a 49ers offer but thinks he can get more elsewhere. The Patriots are also interested.Source is rotoworld.

  4. I agree lets get chad but not pay him too much and as far as takeo hopefully he signs but if it’s true about the patriots then he might want to go where he can immediatly win a championship.

  5. It will never happen. Nolan only wants players with “character.” That will come before talent. T.O., Ocho Cinco, Randy Moss are high profile talented receivers but have high profile characters that Nolan will not put up with. That is why we will be waiting a long time for a stud receiver because most of them wouldnt fit Nolan’s requirements. Weve been trying to replace T.O. since he left. Getting Ocho Cinco will be only in our dreams.

  6. I like this move. Strickland is a hard worker who saved the game for us against Arizona. Let’s keep this great offseason going
