MMP: All Not Aboard
The Niners are sitting at 2-4 and if the offense doesn’t get its act together the Patriots will be looking at a top ten draft pick. Man does that suck. Here is what is going on the day after the asskicking from the Giants.
- Gore says that the 49ers offensive problems are a matter of trust. (There’s no T-R-U-S-T in Hostler)
- Apparently Jennings and Smiley weren’t benched because of poor play. (Well you could have fooled me)
- Crumpacker gives out his game grades. (Odd no one received below a C minus)
- Like most of us Kawakami agrees Lelie has to be in the game. (He also prefers Snyder over Mr. Glass)
- Woo-Hoo, Darrell Jackson finally has a touchdown. (Looks like that 4th finally paid off)
- Gore might be out for the Saints game. (Please God no, I can’t stand a whole game of Hicks)

We need Offense for now on. The good defenses may hold back some points, but they want win the game at the end of the day. they were saying you need a high power offense in todays football! I agree with this and that what we need to adopt. Our defense is alot better than a 28 ranking. We need to focus on the offense for now on. The 2008 draft should be:
1.Wide Receiver-Big& Tall 6?3 & above.
2.Offensive lineman
3.Wide Receiver- Also Big and Tall 6?3 & Above.
4.Quarteback-find a enventual backup replacement to Dilfer and Smith. Dilfer is old and sucks. Dilfer is good mentor and coach, but not good quarteback. Find QB from replable school like Notre Dam, Southern Cal ETC.
5. Defensive End

This is the lineup we should project come draft day. Offense and receiver should be our main focus! Self Scientific, guys look out for Maurice Purify out of Nebraska. He went to San Francisco Junior College same as O.J., and he’s from the Bay Area! The guy is 6?4 218 he’s going to be someone special. The scouts already say he’s got NFL Skills. I am not claiming to be an expert, but the only way Nolan takes a WR with our first (actually closer to second round)pick is if we have a talent that is too good to pass up. It will all depend on who is available with the 30th pick in the draft because THAT IS what or first round pick will be. That Staley move would have been good if our offense wouldn’t be so pathetic. Dilfer isn’t good…everyone knows that, but what about our o line that hasn’t really changed except for Staley replacing Kwame, which we all know was necessary. However, there is NO EXCUSE for getting lit up like that. Also, some of the blame needs to go to Vernon Davis and his HORRIBLE HANDS. He had a sure fire touchdown given to him and he drops it. Was it a perfect pass…no, but is was a really good pass and he has no excuse for dropping that. Time to look at our high paid players who aren’t performing…Jennings, Davis, Allen, DJAX, and Smiley is supposed to be worth a lot of money….where are they at and what are they bringing to the table?

Also, we need to get a Derrick Smith replacement in the draft as well…the time has come for that. His contract is up at the end of this season so it is going to be time. I would rather get a young talent than an expensive one through free agency. We NEED Alan Faneca. He should be our top free agent priority. Furthermore, if this keeps up, we COULD HAVE had Jake Long. I am going to be upset if the Pats get a crack at signing Jake Long because he is exactly what we are looking for and we won’t be able to get him because of Staley. Don’t get me wrong…Staley is a good player that WILL HELP us, but he isn’t even near Jake Longs talent level.

We have to re-evaluate our “Stars” because THEY are the ones who are letting this team down. Hostler needs to get the axe…that is common knowledge to any niner fan, but the stars not going that extra mile for us is also what is killing us as well.

I can’t wait till the offseason. We can probally get some big names in the free agency. Unfortunately draft wise, unless we work out some trades to go up, and possibly get two first round draft picks again , we are screwed! I suggest we trade darrell jackson. The guy drops way to many passess, and other bad teams still think he is good.Maybe we can stil get a early first round pick! Lets trade djack (darrell jackson) and get Djack(Desean Jackson). desean jackson is fast and can return punts for tds amazing right?

This is assuming many problems are fixed. they should have a nice win streak due to weak teams. (thank God!!!!!) Some games are questionable and could be close. including seattle, cinncinatti, and Tampa Bay.

One more Sunday, one more loss. I have to say the offense looked a lot better though, they had more then one first down in the first half, I saw a few passes down field, and two TD passes. Baas, Snyder and Lelie got in there. Cha cha changes people! Yea they lost again, but you have to admit the coaching staff is changing some things around. Make no mistake boys, going into NY and coming out with a win was pretty far fetched. That D over is looking nice. I was pissed at the D this week, Jacobs’s bitch slapped our D, and where the shit is some pass rush?

The commissioner never said ,(that I heard)which pick they were going to have to give up.
They got two picks in the first round and it would be more of a punishment to take away the HIGHER pick.
The NFL might make them skip over the pick they got from us and make them take their rightful pick at #32 or whatever.

Its a done deal…they get our first pick and lose the one they would have originally gotten. Crappy, yes, but that is what you get when you get too excited on draft day. If I was Nolan I wouldn’t have thought we would have performed this bad either. But, that is why you have to keep your head. Staley is quality, but isn’t a top ten talent. Like it or not…we are looking like a team that is going to wind up in the top ten of the draft (please prove me wrong niners…I would love it.)

I believe in the niners…I believe they will beat the saints. They have to…they can’t be that bad with that much talent on their team. However, IF and only IF they lose to the saints will I be completely convinced that they are a top ten draft team. The Saints at home is a MUST WIN…plus, the defense should have a simple enough game plan…don’t let Reggie Bush get the ball. It isn’t a complex scheme. Stop Bush and stop the Saints. By the way…I watched the game against the Giants and to all the nay-sayers of Clements you should have really paid attention because Burress had a HORRIBLE GAME. That reinforced a lot of confidence that I have in him. If he can shut down Holt, Burress, Boldin, as well as anyone else he has played then we need to lay off. Walt Harris is the one who has been getting burned lately. We need to stop the run and go from their because if we are getting beat by their number two receivers then we should be ashamed of ourselves.

We traded away our first round pick and ended up with the Colts first rounder. To me it doesn’t matter what the Pats get. That would be up to our team to perform better. What matters to me is the wonderful Tackle we received. Staley has performed very well throw directly into the fire.
For me, I want another tackle in the first round.
If Alex has time, I’m guessing even our mediocre receivers can eventually get open, if they’re still on the team. I’m not overly familiar with what’s out there in the college ranks, but if our record is sub 500, hopefully we’ll score some protection.
Walsh always liked the tall receivers. Even the backups were tall. Now we see why.
No way we could have taken Randy Moss this offseason. After TO, he was seen as another poison. But my God, that man can go up, double covered, and bring down 2 touchdowns???
I’m still holding a grudge against A Thomas for snubbing us and wish he just twisted something to keep him out for the season…nothing big…just a vengeful tweak, lol.

Is Chad Johson a free agent after this year? I honestly don’t know if he is or not, but if he is then we are going to have to break the bank to get him here so why even talk about it? Furthermore, if he isn’t then we don’t have the players to make that trade happen. Lastly, it would be a mistake to be giving away any more picks(unless we are talking about a third rounder or fourth rounder). We should have stayed put and then got our value this year. If the Pats get Jake Long I am going to be PISSED OFF!!!! We do need to get a receiver in the draft however, and can they please get one that is above 6′1″????
