Topics I've Started

Trent Brown

30 May 2015 - 03:15 PM

Sounds like he will be a significant improvement over our last backup OT. This was one of my biggest concerns coming into this year with as much as Kap got crushed last year.

CBs

30 May 2015 - 03:13 PM

Although practices right now are without pads, it appears that the heavy investment into CBs last year will pay some handsome dividends this year. By all accounts, Ackers, Reaser, and Johnson (along with Cook and not counting Ward) have been looking fully recovered from their injuries and/or are making some great plays.

They just might make those that said our draft this year was shit due to not drafting a CB look foolish. Perhaps Baalke is working his magic once again in regard to DBs...

Best PR/KR?

25 April 2015 - 02:16 PM

Who is considered the best PR/KR in the draft? That seems to be the one spot on the roster that either hurts us (NFCCG vs Giants) or doesn't help us (every other game). Shit, I would be willing to drop a third rounder on someone that would improve this aspect of our team.

Roster Big Picture

13 March 2015 - 04:10 PM

Taking into account all the players we already have and include those that we are getting back from IR, how many holes/needs do we really have?

QB: Kaep, Gabbert
RB: Hyde, Hunter, Hayne (Need one here)
FB: Miller, Millard
WR: Boldin, Smith, Simpson, Ellington, Patton (Need one here)
TE: Davis, McDonald, Carrier, Celek, Cleveland
T: Staley, Davis, Martin (Need one here)
G: Boone, Thomas, Looney
C: Martin, Kilgore

DE: Dockett, (Smith), Carridine, Dial, Jerodd-Eddie (Need one here)
NT: Dorsey, Williams, Ramsey
OLB: Smith, Lynch, Brooks, Lemonier
ILB: Bowman, Borland, Wilhoite, Moody, Skov (Need one here)
CB: Brock, Johnson, Acker, Reaser (Need one here)
S: Bethea, Ried, Ward, Dahl (Need one here)
*I left off some that I don't think have a chance to make the roster and/or go to practice squad.

Considering we have a large influx of talent that have not played due to injuries, it is almost like having two drafts in one year.

Jarryd Hayne

Sounds like he is going to pick us to sign with. If he can translate what he does in rugby to football he will be a beast for our return game and backup RB.
