The 49ers are scheduled to meet with a familiar face on Monday, as outside linebacker Parys Haralson is set to work out for the team, a source told CSNBayArea.com.

Haralson, 31, is an eight-year NFL veteran who played his first six seasons with the 49ers after arriving as a fifth-round pick in the 2006 draft. Haralson started 68 games for the 49ers before he was dealt to the New Orleans Saints in a trade for a seventh-round pick just prior to the 2013 season.

Haralson has 28 career sacks, including 6.5 in the past two seasons after leaving the 49ers. The Saints released Haralson just prior to the start of the regular season to reach their 53-player roster limit.

Conspiracy Theory

I have figured it out. This team is setup to fail. York and Baalke have worked it out where they are setting This team/Kap up to fail. He has a pretty team friendly contract, so letting him go shouldn't have that much of an impact on the cap (I don't believe). Also he was Harbaugh's guy, so they want rid of everything Harbaugh.

I'm sure they look at vets like Vernon, Boldin and a couple others and figure they will either retire or hit free agency. So they don't mind if Boldin is bitching on sidelines.

Brandon Thomas is amazing but the team doesn't want to play him, as they don't want a good offensive line. Anthony Davis was aware of the plan, that is why he retired and said he'd try and come back next season.

They are setting it up for that #1 pick. They want Goff, a Cal product and someone the fans can get behind. They missed on Rodgers so they'll go with the next Cal product.

They will have huge cap space after this season. They will fire Tomsula after this season and go back and hire a former 49er (ala, Shanny, Holmgren)
