Niners Win Despite Nolan

Shaun Hill improves to 1-0 for his career. The 49ers are 10-1 when Frank carries 20+. But all of that was almost for nothing, when head coach Mike Nolan went for it on 4th and 2 with around 6 minutes left. I’m still wondering what the hell Nolan was thinking, he kicks a FG there [...]

Shaun Hill. Nolan’s Savior?

The way Shaun Hill is playing. He just might be capable of saving Nolan’s job. Of course the team still needs to keep putting points on the board, but as of now Shaun Hill has looked better than any current 49ers quarterback on the roster. Hell he’s even making Darrell Jackson look good.

49ers vs Bucs: Flexed

“It’s no big surprise, but the 49ers have been spared another showing on national prime-time TV, thanks to the NFL’s flex scheduling format.
The 49ers’ game Sunday, Dec. 23, against the Buccaneers, which was original scheduled for a 5:15 p.m. start on NBC, has been changed. Now, they’ll play the Bucs on Fox at 1:05 p.m. [...]

Double Digit Losses…

And Nolan will somehow keep his job? Sad.
It’s unfortunate that it took Dilfer getting knocked out, until Nolan finally gave some playing time to Shaun Hill. Hill looked pretty good, completed more passes than the other quarterbacks. Hopefully he’ll get more time next weekend and maybe prove that he can actually perform well and give [...]

Good to See They are Back to Their Old Ways

Well, so much for winning two in a row. At least they didn’t get our hopes up to much.
How many more games until the offseason?

Holy Crap. What Just Happened?

The 49ers win their third of the year in overtime.
Neil Rackers did his best Jose Cortez/Owen Pochman impersonation by missing a chip shot, and the MVP of the year Andy Lee setup the game winning fumble for a touchdown. Holy crap this was one of the best 49er games I have seen in a long ass [...]

What Has Happened to My 49ers

17 points. Two turnovers recovered. A nice punt return. This can’t be real can it?
I know it is still early, but Tollner for President.

Throwbacks. More Like Throwups

The 49ers went with their throwbacks this weekend, but only the defense was worthy of wearing them. The defense gave the offense every opportunity to win this game, but once again the offense looked bad. They couldn’t run the ball, they couldn’t catch the ball, and the playcalling well that is another story.
Out of the [...]

Newsflash: 49ers Lose 7th in a Row

And after they lose to the Rams next weekend, they’ll be in last place.
I was going to write a long thought out post, but there are only so many ways to say a team sucks. I also decided I’d put about as much effort into this as the 49ers have on offense.
So I’ll keep it simple and just [...]

At the Half. Not One Single 1st Down

Well I jumped the gun on saying they didn’t get a first.
This is the worst team in the history of the NFL. No first downs, can’t score when on the 31. Can’t cover. Can’t pass rush. Can’t call plays. Can’t even get a punt off without a delay of game.
If Nolan keeps his job after the season, [...]

Only an Hour Away…

Please, don’t let the 49ers embarrass us fans on national television…

Surprise, 49ers Losing at Half

Who woulda thunk it? Just kidding. No pass rush, no running game, no run defense, same shit, different day. Funny thing is the 49ers offense looked the best when the helmet headset crapped out. Hmmmm….

Same Crap, Different Day

For a brief minute before kickoff it felt that we would finally get to see the 49ers offense move the ball, that thought didn’t last long. The offense is so bad that it is starting to rub off on the defense. I’m trying to find a positive from this game, but I can’t. I will [...]

Gameday Preview: Week 8 - Saints @ 49ers

The Saints (2-4) travel to 3Monster Stick this weekend to take on the 49ers (2-4). Both teams are struggling to stay alive and a win for either of them will help get their team in the right direction. The 49ers are heading into a 4-game stretch where their opponents have a combined record of 7-20. [...]

Jesus H. Christ, This Offense Really Sucks

Not that it should come as a surprise after 7 weeks, but Christ this offense is bad and the defense didn’t help out that much. This week not sure if it is more Dilfer or what, but if Smith were in there the game would certainly be closer. Mainly because Dilfer has contributed to three [...]

Well So Much for That…

The Niners held the lead for oh about 2 minutes. They had a drive for over 80 yards and scored a touchdown pass, hell even Derek Smith got an interception (he first in like forever.) But of course a fumble by Gore, a interception by Dilfer, and the inability to stop the run have put [...]

Gameday Preview: Week 7 - 49ers vs Giants

Where do I begin with this one? Latest word is Alex Smith is most likely not going to play, which doesn’t bode well for the 49ers. Even if Smith were to play the outcome wouldn’t be to different, well actually that isn’t true. The offense would at least put up some yards passing in the [...]
