Niners Sign More Camp Fodder
The 49ers have signed free-agent guard Jeb Terry, who has played in 30 NFL games with one start. Terry was a fifth-round draft pick (No. 146 overall) of the Buccaneers in 2004 from North Carolina. He was cut during training camp last year and was out of the league.

49ers ‘Buy Back’ Option on Smith
The 49ers exercised a “buy-back” option in Alex Smith’s contract that will keep the quarterback around for three more seasons. If they didn’t pick up the option, Smith would have become a free agent after this year.
