The players have been participating in a pool workout today, which has provided for some hilarious comedy. Most of the workout takes place in the shallow end, but for the grand finale, full laps are required.

Mike Nolan was on NFL Network discussing the State of the Franchise. During the segment Nolan talked about the quarterback position and that the 49ers will not guarantee Alex Smith the starting spot.

Auburn defensive end Quentin Groves worked out for pro scouts yesterday, which included 49ers General Manager Scot McCloughan. Groves weighed in ten pounds lighter (249) then he did at the combine (259).
