The 49ers won their third game of the season and first victory for interim head coach Mike Singletary. From the first half it was all 49ers. They ran the ball well, passed the ball well and didn’t have any stupid penalties or turnovers that hurt them.

24 years ago, today the San Francisco 49ers beat the Cincinatti Bengals 26 - 21 to win their 1st of 5 Super Bowl titles, in Super Bowl 16.

Ray Wersching kicks a Super Bowl record-tying four field goals.
