Seattle came to town looking to win the West at the Stick. The 49ers were 14-0-1 against NFC West opponents the last 15 games and the Seahawks haven’t won at the Stick since 2007.
After 60 minutes of football the Seahawks left without the West and another loss at the Stick. I want to thank the 49ers for allowing us the fans one last NFC West win before heading to the new stadium next season. Now to the game…
The defense held the Seahawks to 17 which was just enough for the offense to score more. I will not lie, the offense didn’t look all that great in the 2nd half, but when they needed the go ahead points. The 49ers and Frank Gore did what they needed to get the win.
Frank Gore’s 51 yard run late in the 4th quarter was the difference maker, he stepped up and made the play of the game. We as fans can’t thank him enough.
Now I know the Seahawks should still win the West and most likely get home field advantage, but stranger things have happened. One game at a time here for the 49ers. They control their playoff chances and come playoff time, it’s a whole different ballgame.
