Kaepernick’s Legs, Solid Defense and a Little Gore win Big in Tennessee

kap

The 49ers headed into Tennessee looking for their fourth consecutive win and after 60 minutes of football they did just that. The 49ers handed the Titans their fourth loss while they improved to 5-2.

The 49ers took a 24-0 lead into halftime behind the legs of Colin Kaepernick (11 rushes, 68 yards, 1 TD) and Frank Gore (24 rushes, 70 yards, 2 TD’s.) Both players putting up fantastic fantasy football numbers.

Once again the 49ers didn’t need the arm of Kaepernick to win this game, he finished the game with 199 yards passing (3rd out of last 4 under 200.) Also in the first half the defense shut down Jake Locker and Co. It wasn’t until the second half when the Titans got garbage touchdowns.

Along with the defense the special teams unit was A+, undrafted rookie Darryl Morris destroyed Darius Reynaud on a muffed punt late in the game to give Kassim Osgood the fumble recovery in the endzone.

The 49ers now head to London to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
