Chris Culliver: ‘I don’t do the gay guys man’
I wonder if NFL players will ever learn to shut up. Cornerback Chris Culliver pulled his best Garrison Hearst impression when he was asked by Artie Lange, his thoughts on openly gay players in the NFL. Here is Culliver’s response.
“I don’t do the gay guys man,” said Culliver. “I don’t do that. No, we don’t got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. “Can’t be with that sweet stuff. Nah…can’t be…in the locker room man. Nah.”
Lange went further into the homosexuality question with Culliver and asked him if any homosexual athletes would need to keep their sexuality a secret. Culliver responded with this.
“Yeah, come out 10 years later after that.”
So much for the team and players not having any distractions…
Transcript from the Artie Lange Show:

Culliver: “None.”
Q: None?

Q: What about gay guys?
Culliver: ”I don’t do the gay guys, man. I don’t do that.”
Q: Are there any on the 49ers?
Culliver: “No. Ain’t got no gay people on the team. They gotta get up outta here if they do. Can’t be with that sweet stuff.”

Culliver: “yeah, it’s true.”
Q: But they might be able to play well . . .
