Nine 49ers make it to the Pro Bowl

The 49ers once again will be sending nine players to the Pro Bowl. The players selected are Frank Gore, Joe Staley, Mike Iupati, Patrick Willis, NaVorro Bowman, Aldon Smith, Justin Smith, Dashon Goldson and Donte Whitner. Out of the nine, seven of them selected will start.

The Whitner/Goldson are the first safeties from the same team to start a Pro Bowl since 2005.

The 49ers Pro Bowl alternates are Alex Boone, Ahmad Brooks, Anthony Davis, Vernon Davis, Jonathan Goodwin, Andy Lee, Carlos Rogers and CJ Spillman.

We all know however, that none of the players named above will be playing in the Pro Bowl, since they’ll be playing in the Super Bowl instead…

The Pundit of 49ersNews. I do what I can to supply the Niner fans with their fix.

Ya, Awesome accomplishment, but I don't care about the Pro Bowl at this point, at any point, I just want a Superbowl victory, or appearance at this point!! 9erpundit, wouldnt our players not play in the Pro-Bowl ofcourse if the 49ers would make it to a superbowl. That would be funny to see all 9 not go if we get to a S-bowl, that would be something, a bit funny. I personally don't like our players playing in pro bowl, I think it's just a way for the free agents to bond with other team's players to get an idea to shop there services elsewhere, and a way to bond with other teams to see whats the best fit for them. Others players see the best and say come over to our team, were buddies, you'll like it over here, it's better, its just not good in my view. I think that alot of players get shopped by other teams while there, especially the free agents. They should call it the shop-around bowl.
