49ers Add Brandon Jacobs to their Arsenal
Just when you thought the 49ers were done in the free agent market, they go out and sign RB Brandon Jacobs to a one year deal. Jacobs will come in a spell Frank Gore and provide a much needed short yardage runner. Some may scratch their head at this signing but it only makes the running game stronger. Jacobs is much better than Anthony Dixon.
Jacobs is a seven-year veteran who had 571 yards and seven touchdowns last season as the Giants’ No. 2 running back behind Ahmad Bradshaw
With the addition of Jacobs it spells the end of the Anthony Dixon era. And now going into the draft the biggest weakness is that right guard position.
