Beasts and Bitches: Week 3 – 2011

This week we’ll take a look at the beasts and bitches for the 49ers after their win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Beasts:

Kendall Hunter – Came in to take over for a struggling frustrated Frank Gore and scored his first TD of his career.
Carlos Rogers – He again had a solid week, he intercepted an Andy Dalton pass at a crucial time late in the 4th quarter.
David Akers- He hit a 53 yarder to put the team up by 7.
Andy Lee – Despite one punt of 14 yards, he again set the Bengals up with bad field position.
Vernon Davis – Finished the day with 8 catches for 114 yards.
Reggie Smith – Game winning INT, was a very nice catch.

Bitches:

Offensive line – They provided no holes for running backs. Very little time for Alex to throw the ball. Gave up 5 sacks, numerous false starts, and at one point the referree called false start on the Entire Offensive Line.
Frank Gore – Gore didn’t have a lot of holes to hit, but he fumbled the ball away at a crucial time that led to the Bengals going up 6-3.
Jim Harbaugh – At times it felt like Jimmy Raye is calling the plays. I know it is still early, but the conservatism of Harbaugh is not helping the 49ers. Also not challenging the no Touchdown by Michael Crabtree.
Referrees – Taking away a sure touchdown by Michael Crabtree by saying he stepped out of bounds. After replay he did not step out.

The Pundit of 49ersNews. I do what I can to supply the Niner fans with their fix.

I agree the o-line needs to protect Smith, and make some holes for Gore. When that happens and I hope it happens against the so called dream team(eagles 1-2) they will be a ligit team.
