Harbaugh’s Staff Starting to Take Shape

With the announcement of David Shaw becoming the new head coach at Stanford, that paves the way for Jim Harbaugh to start finishing up his staff. Harbaugh said he would like to have his staff complete by the 24th of January.

David Shaw was the front runner for both the HC job at Stanford and the OC job in San Francisco, but of course Harbaugh was waiting for the new HC at Stanford to be announced until he had a better idea on who he could or could not bring over with him.
Harbaugh will keep a few current coaches from the Singletary/Nolan era on staff. And the rest will come from Stanford and a few other places around the league.

Here is our guess on what the staff will start to look like after the announcement of Shaw at Stanford.

OC – Greg Roman
DC – Vic Fangio
RB – Tom Rathman
OL – Mike Solari or Tim Drevno
WR – Pep Hamilton
DL – Jim Tomsula
LB – Jim Leavitt

In regards to TE and DB coaching spots were are not sure. We could see current TE coach Hoener stick around but not sure about Vance Joseph. Also for OL we could see Solari getting to stay but most likely Tim Drevno OL Stanford will come over.

Again this isn’t concrete, just what we think may happen with those positions.
