Arizona Jerry’s 49ers Mock Draft
Following is a mock draft from a site reader who goes by Arizona Jerry. Thanks Jerry for the submission. Here is his mock draft.
A former bay area resident now living in Arizona. Have been 49er fan for many, many years.
FIRST ROUND: Now is the time to fill the cb needs by taking Patrick Peterson if he should drop to #7 or Prince Amukamara. Either of these two would fit our needs.
SECOND ROUND #45. 49ers need a pass rusher, but if Stefen Wisniewski, C, Penn State drops out of first round and is available then he should be drafted. He would anchor the line for years to come. Did I say Jim Otto. If Wisiewski is not available then draft OLB Dontry Moch of Nevada. He has amazing speed of 4.38. This could be one of the sleepers in the draft. At this stage of the draft free agency needs to fill our need for DE.
THIRD ROUND #76. 49ers take a QB. Is it Christian Ponder of Flordia State, Greg McElroy of Alabama, Andy Dalton of TCU, or Ricky Stanzi of Iowa. It appears 49ers will be a run offense at least for 2011. Any of the before mentioned QB’s will grow with the system.
FOURTH ROUND #107. Gore needs a back up. This is the spot to draft a running back. We need a big back how about 5’11″ 235 pound JAMIE HARPER of Clemson.
FOURTH ROUND #114. Time for a receiver. Terrence Toliver of LSU 6’4″ 211 or Auston Pettis of Boise State 6′ 3″ a good possession receiver.
FIFTH ROUND #138. Ricky Elmore DE from Arizona. He was really impressive and status has risen since Shriner Game.
SIXTH ROUND #169. Here is a gamble Tyrod Taylor QB from Virginia Tech. Could he be converted to WR? Too good an athlete to pass on.
SIXTH ROUND #181. Derek Hall OL Sanford. Big man 6’5″ 305. The coaching staff would like this pick. Someone they are very familiar. Not only great size but a smart player.
SEVENTH ROUND #199. Anthony Gray DT Southern Mississippi, 6′ 317 pounds.
SEVENTH ROUND #200. Markus White DE Flordia State, 6’4″ 262 pounds.
In conclusion the 49er with their new run offense will pick up a number of last years Stanford linemen. They and smart and have performed in a high tech scheme.
SO LONG ARIZONIA JERRY
