Baalke: He is Not a McCloughan Clone

Pro Football Weekly has an article talking about current GM Trent Baalke, who has taken over for Scot McCloughan who left the team weeks ago for ‘personal reasons.’ The info provided mentions that Baalke is doing his things his way.

“He is not a McCloughan clone at all,” one team insider said. “He is not married to the Ron Wolf philosophy of focusing on bigger, stronger players from big-time schools like Scot was, and he appears to be fully willing to draft a player who doesn’t fit those parameters.”

The Pundit of 49ersNews. I do what I can to supply the Niner fans with their fix.
  • greeaat!!! now go get eric berry and stay at 13 for joe haden plzzz!!!1 we need to get younger and faster n the secondary. we’LL GET A TACKLE LATER. dnt pass up on skill players. its a passn league now. MAKE THE ADJUSTMENT. GO 9ERS

  • give up the second round pick for gaither. lets not pass up on the chance to get berry and haden. they r 2 hall of fame players. I’ll bet my last 2dollars on that

  • prepare to be broke then reggie. lets hold down expectation like that. the chances that anyone of the players in the draft being in the hall of fame is slim. let alone 2 players and that we happen to draft both. we need OT anyway, thats top need. protecting and getting to QB are the most important things in football. if we can get one of the main OT’s and a player like Haden, E thomas, or spiller then we have had a great draft.
