Thank you Carolina for the 1st

Thank you Carolina for the 1st

49ers trade the 43rd pick overall and 111th in this years draft to the Panthers for a first rounder in 2010.

So the 49ers finish the first day (that is if the don’t trade back into the 2nd) with Michael Crabtree and rape the Panthers for a first rounder next year. Nice first day Scot.

The team now has six picks tomorrow — a third, two fifths, a sixth and two sevenths.

Very nice. This could be a top 10 pick next year.

This is BS. The 49ers need a passrusher who better than DE, Everette Brown, FSU and they not only give up a second but a fourth round selection for a pick next year. I was waiting for them to select Brown and they did as they always do “disappoint me”. This is Bull Shit!!!

Nice, Our 3rd rounder should be RB Greene or RB R. Jennings from Liberty… Great move

Carlos 2010 1st rounder > Everette Brown. Sidbury is still out there.

I was a big fan of E. Brown early. When everyone doing mock drafts had him in the top 15. Recently, in the who’s the 9ers first pick I said Brown. I realized that I was reaching a bit, but thought it would be a decent pick. I am grateful to the stupid ass Raiders for passing on Crabtree, so he could fall into our laps. However, not taking Brown with our second sent me on a screaming rampage in my living room for at least ten minutes. When I found out that we got Carolina’s first next year I was somewhat relieved. When I realized that we we’re done for the day, and that we gave up our fourth this year and our second, I was pissed. Crabtree and Brown on day one would have been fucking awesome. As Everette slipped to our spot, I was salivating. It’s nice to have another first next year, but he could have helped right away. I guess we’ll just have to hope that Carolina sucks this year, and we end up with a sweet situation in 2010. If Brown pans out for the Panthers, this could be a huge mistake on McGM’s part. West, you were right about Brown dropping. But, it seems like the value we passed up on this year could come back to haunt us. I can’t believe McCloughan is even thinking about next year with this decision. Hope it pans out, but it’s got me pretty pissed off right now.

    Pundit,
2010 first round >Everette Brown &2009 4th round? If it was Brown for Carolina’s first next year, then fine. The fact that we gave up a 2nd and a 4th for what will amount to a 20 something pick next year is fucked. Brown would have been a decent pick with the 20 something this year!

I cnt believe the 49ers got 5 votes for grade B on this draft day. I thought they had a great day, a stud and hopefully future star @ WR and like the article said “raped” Carolina for a 1st rounder nxt year. We still have 6 picks left and no tellin wht kind of gems are left out there. GO 49ERS!!!

…oh and good first day Scot…..now dont eff up tomorrow!

I like Matt Maiocco’s reasoning for the trade and it makes sense, bth some positives and negatives, but as a long time fan I am tired of the negatives (the past few years) with this team and just want to focus on the positives!!!

I gave the 49ers a A++ today. Now the 49ers need to draft Javorski Lane RB Texas A&M in the later rounds of the draft. The next Jerome Bettis. 6ft 280 lbs with good feet.
I want Orakpo bad but I never thought that Crabtree would fall to 10. The Oakland Raiders are retarded. the only way that team ever becomes good is if Al Davis dies.

  10. West. says:

Draft time…. Greene is gone but RB Andre Brown (North Carolina State) and RB Rasshad Jennings( Liberty) are still around.
