Shaun Hill is now 5-2 as a starter and Mike Singletary has coached this team to three wins out of there last four meetings. If those two figures aren’t enough to keep both in the same positions next year, then I don’t know what is. Here are some of the rumblings going on around Ninerland after beating the Jets on all aspects of the game.
Frank Gore’s status is uncertain at this time, he wants more than anything to play in front of his hometown. If he can’t go look for Foster to get the start and Thomas Clayton getting the call up from the practice squad to backup Foster.
Singletary has said Vernon Davis is the “best I’ve ever seen” as a blocker at the tight end positon.
Singletary gave Nolan the game ball after his first win against the Rams. Singletary gave it to Nolan, because he wanted to “let him know I’m always indebted to him.”
Brett Favre gave San Francisco credit. He was impressed with them before the game and after.
Eric Heitmann (best center he has ever coached according to Martz) and Chilo Rachal shut Kris Jenkins down. Jenkins finished the day with one tackle.
Gore is 22 yards away from putting together three consecutive 1,000 yard seasons. The first in 49ers history.
Consensus around the Bay Area is it is time to remove ‘Interim’ from Singletary’s title.
We’d be 6-7 and Cards 7-6 if we hadnt been snubbed in that MNF Game
Got that right Billy…….
Team looks really good, first time in a long time that I am actually looking forward to Sundays, instead of hoping that we don’t lose.
Yep. I believe we will remain the only west coast team to win on the east coast and do it twice once this weekend has passed. I can only hope that the Yorks hire Coach Sing full time and are somehow able to retain Martz. They are starting to work well together, and it is showing in this team.
Niners appear to be playing with the heart of Singletary. If this continues we have a chance at greatness….. thank you Mike so far.
And yeah….. Monday night would have been sweet victory over the Cards…. but ya can’t go back….
Shaun hill is a good QB. he should be our starter next year
Hill for starter next year it seems stupid to me if we pick McNabb because Hill knows the system and he is a starter QB just not a franchise QB. Smart move to keep him as QB unless the system changes, I sure hope not I like the idea of having Norv but we need consistancy.
We draft a 2-4 Round QB (Graham Harrall) develop him next year and Draft WR 1st(Micheal Crabtree) if not a good O-line man, no need for D-line change cause we will pick up either Haynesworth or Suggs maybe both by a long shot. Anybody know if Boldin still wants out of ARI?? He’d be good to get as well but with the talent we got at WR we wont need him and we’ll get a true #1 in Crabtree. Franchise QB in Harrall. D-Line buffed out in FA. We draft a compliment to Willis and a REAL saftey to replace Roman “the SLOW-MAN” unless Goldson is the answer. We need O-line too so draft that in either 2nd, 3rd, or 4th depending which round we get our QB. Any thoughts on this fellow fans?
