Not So Easy in the Big Easy
Good to see the 49ers we have grown accustomed to showed back up. The 49ers embarrassed themselves in New Orleans this week and once again struggled to beat a good team. It’s unfortunate we can’t play the Lions every week.
The 49ers did some good things, like shutting down Reggie Bush, but not surprisingly made Lance Moore a superstar and everyone else not named Bush.
Don’t even get me started on the piss poor play of the Offensive Line. Saints came into the game only having six sacks and in this game they matched that total today. Still not sure why Warhop still has a job. That along with the new and improved JT O’Turnover and the 49ers never had a chance.
At this moment I can’t think of any positives to take from this game, well maybe the returns by Rossum and the play by Patrick Willis, but that’s about it.
With all that said, I’m not to upset with the loss. Again turnovers, penalities and execution killed them. They still had opportunities but O’Sullivan’s INT’s in the endzone hurt. This team is way better than last years and if they can just work on the little things, I still see them doing well.

Its amazing how the posts change in the matter of one week. Everybody was crazy about our team after we beat a terrible Lions team, but now that we lose to a pretty prolific offense everybody is back on the fire everybody, change the QB, bench the world.
We aren’t that good yet guys, just relax, take the good with the bad and hope that there is more good this year. We are getting better and really could have won that game if it wasn’t for two redzone int’s, despite Barry Simms’ best impersonation of a matador.
Get off Vernon Davis’ back when he is targeted he is one of the toughest match ups in the league. I don’t think there are too many tight ends that can turn a bubble screen into an 19 yard gain. I don’t care what you say Vernon Davis showing some fire is not the reason why we lost the game. Him only getting targeted twice might have had something to do with it however.
We got the Patriots next week, we will probably beat them, in my opinion, and then Adam49 is going to be the first post on here saying how terrific our team is when the only thing that changed is the opponent.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying we suck or hating on the niners, I’m just saying that we are a 7-9 win team, which means we lose 7-9 games. Today happened to be one of them. I still think we got a chance at the playoffs, however, if for no other reason than our division is the worst in football and we appear to be the most poised despite the week one loss to the Cardinals.
And let the panicking continue…
MSouza– i agree. the o line is weak. JTO had two costly passes. it should be a learning tool now. i think he played well dispite the turnovers. yes they cost us dearly but he was competitive and i dont see him regressing from this game alone. he will use it to sharpen his game and learn from it. And yes low quality recievers beat us, but really Drew Brees beat us. IMO he is one of the best qb’s in the league. if not the best this season so far. chalk it up to a tough loss. does anyone remember week 3 vs Philly in 1994? SHIT HAPPENS GET OVER IT. yes i was pissed yesterday watching but that was yesterday. now i look forward to next sunday. i think we have a chance to win alot of games this year.
oh and perhaps this loss can motivate us even more. i’ll take a loss to a tough saints team if it means we upset dallas

Nolan admitting that the defense was out of position on big plays is a total knock on himself and his staff. Nolan is the worst I have ever seen at making adjustments. He obviously disrespected Duece McCallister because we bottled up Bush but let Duece run up the middle all day. When Patrick Wills was asked about the game,he said they didn’t even make any adjustments at halftime.They just had to execute the gameplan better.Obviously that plan didn’t work to well.

Im a little confused isnt the reason we are in a 3-4 defense is so we could blitz from different angles and have fast lbs running free at the QB? The sad thing is we have the worst division for the last 10 years. Yah the Seaclucks made it to the superbowl but i still think our division could of easily been one. Imagine if someone in our division gets to be like the Pats a great organization, we will surely be screwed then. If we dont regain this division now, our time will be up and have to wait 10 more years. Its sad!
