MMP: Over 30…Twice

Amazing isn’t it. 49ers scoring over 30 two games in a row. Thank you Mike Martz.

  • After 3 games JT O’Sullivan has a QB rating of 104.6, which puts him in the top 5 overall in the NFL.
  • JT’s 123.3 passer rating was the highest for a 49ers QB since Garcia posted a 130.3 back in 2003.
  • Clements locked down Calvin Johnson and held him to four catches for 40 yards and on the other side of the ball Walt held Roy Williams in check allowing two catches for 18 yards.
  • Justin Smith has already matched his sack total from last season.
  • The over 30 points back-to-back. That hasn’t happened since 2003.
  • Gore is ranked in the top 5 in overall rushing through the first three games this season.

Monday Morning Punter is named after perhaps the greatest punter of our time. Andy 'The General' Lee. We'd like to thank Andy on his recent Pro Bowl selection and we know deep down inside he made it just for us.

Im am AMPED baby, JTO plays with so much enthusiasm and heart. the way he scrambles out of the pocket and throws on the run or even runs it period. Frank Gore is back to being Frank after a down season. Our defense looked pretty good against a fairly good offense. Now we got the saints which should be a high scoreing game. Bush and Breese are just lighting it up, but i think we can contain them more they they have been contained. The fast running back doesnt exactly scare me with the speed of our front 7. and breese just doesnt have receivers which is mind boggleing on how hes been tearing it up.

Prediction: We hit 30 for the 3rd time in a row but most importantly we stop them from hitting 30

    49ers 31 – Saints 24

Maybe sometime this season you can retire the “Monday Morning Punter” moniker, though it was great name for last year’s team.
