Beasts & Bitches: 49ers @ Hawks

Sully's a beast while Jennings' a bitch

Sully's a beast while Jennings' a bitch

I was given permission to start a new section titled ‘Beasts and Bitches.’ What we’ll do is each week list the Beasts and Bitches from gameday. We’ll start off this week with the 49ers win over the Seahawks.

Beasts

  • JT O’Sullivan: Or should we say O’wesome. JT gets the beast label after finishing the day with over 300 yards and 1 touchdown. All of this after getting sacked 8 times.
  • Patrick Willis: Patty Boy will probably be on this list every week. He makes it this week for his record breaking 86 yard interception for a touchdown.
  • Isaac Bruce: Old Man Ike makes the list for his 153 yards receiving and out running corners 14 years younger.
  • The Whiteboard: Not sure what the whiteboard is, well after a 49er timeout the Fox cameras panned over to Nolan running with his whiteboard. Not long after the whiteboard made an appearance the 49ers team turned it up a notch.
  • Manny Lawson: ManLaw gets the nod for a nice punt block and the most importance play of the day, calling Tails.
  • Mike Martz: For finally giving us an offensive scheme that we can enjoy watching.
  • Barry Sims: You might be surprised Sims makes this list. Well the only reason he made it is because he name is not Jennings.

Bitches

  • Mr. Glass Jonas Jennings: Not long after getting called for three penalties, Jennings hurts his shoulder and doesn’t return.
  • Defensive Line: They gave up 160 something yards rushing and 127 of that to Julius Jones. Oh and they recorded no sacks, and not really any pressure.
  • Offensive Line: Eight sacks allowed. Need I say more?
  • Special Teams: Not often a team gets a punted block only to turn it into a first down. Rossum displaying his best Maurice Hicks jump. Nedney kicking out of bounds and missing a FG, and Brian Jennings turning a punt downed at the one into a touchback.

Born and raised a diehard Niner fan. I have nothing better to do with my time than sit here and cram my opinions down everyone's throat.

    Bitches:

    Norv Turner

    Karma's a bitch NORV!

Wide receivers are looking up. Let's try and give JT time to get the ball to them.

Turner guess what the 49ers has got a QB now and a good OF coach and look out NFL the 49ers are here and you will see a change from the days Turner was in town.

GO 49ers to the Division and on…..

I couldnt be more jacked about the win, i acctually feel like we have a real offense now. But i still just dont understand how Nolan has a job. how does a first rd LB who DOES have cover skills so i dont wanna hear anything about a pass D not get on the field for one snap. obviously that stradegy didnt work that well we got lit up for 23 points (one Def TD)

Not to defend Nolan so much because I question alot of his decisions myself, but that game was Hasselbeck’s worst QB rating in his career. Weve used it before with success. He said on the radio today we probably wont use it again. That D was to prevent big plays by the receivers. They got alot of yards still (especially the TE position) but we didnt allow the big play and Hasselbeck completed in the 50% range which is lousy for him. With that said, they let an average RB run all over the place. Pass rush and the rare blitz packages is what killed us. Hasselbeck had all day to look downfield. Special teams sucked again, who is the fucken Special teams coach? He better start doing his job or get somebody else in there. Hopefully we get all our problems fixed by the team New England comes along. We beat them, people will start talking about the Niners instead of laughing at us.

Good post Gomez.Like Gomez said we went into this game to prevent the big play, and we did.Hasselbecks QB rating was 42.5.I still think we shoulda blitzed ALOT more. But guys i’m tellin ya,we have got to improve a bunch in order to compete.Do you guys remember what happened the last time we played the Eagles and the Saints? We got stomped.

No Matter how bad you guys try to kill Jonas Jennings, you’ll have to admit, he is a great run blocker.
& I would actually like to see him make his way back to the Left side.
    I don’t really like Nolan’s “class”.
If your hurt, he’ll pretty much bypass you like…IDK… Like your a hitch-hiker on the interstate. But in this case your his cousin or something.
The guy is not ready to be a head coach.
I love for him to stick around for Defensive Cord.
Some of the best guys are meant to be placed in supportive roles.

I think Lawson may still be a little hurt, & that was the reason for him not playing a snap, because remember last game…
They ran the ball directly at him just about every play.
So I don’t care how they played him, as long as he’s used somehow, and hopefully he’ll be ready for next weeks game.

    Go 49ers!
