The signing of Barry Sims will add some depth to the offensive line. I don't think he will beat out Jonas Jennings but he will be a good backup at both tackle positions. The offensive line really needed some competition in order to get the best players on the field. I feel comfortable with Joe Staley at the left tackle position. Adam Synder can finally get use to playing one position. Staley and Synder will form a good left side of the offensive line. We really need Eric Heitman to step up his play. He began to come on at the end of last year. David Baas was beginning to show his potential and then he had a set back this off-season. David Baas should recover before training camp and be ready for the opening of the season. Jonas Jennings can be a good quality RT if he stays healthy. He should be better on the right side than on the left. He maybe a step slow for the LT position. He could flourish as a run blocking RT. I like our backup lineman this year. Chilo Rachel, Tony Wragge, Barry Sims, and Cody Wallace. I like the size of OL. I read an article that Joe Staley beefed up to 320lbs. Each of lineman range from 320lbs. to 330lbs. Hopefully the size of lineman can wear down the other teams. I thought this was the strengh of our team last year and I was off the mark. I think we have better chemistry this year along with some depth.

Well we signed sims but what does that solve??? what i think what we needed instead was a great o-line coach such as Hudson Huack...Can Adam Snyder play at LG??? Will David Baas Play and or beat out Chilo Rachal I mean come on some one has to ignite a fire under his ass as he was one spot away from being a first round pick 3 years ago....and then can Staley conintue to dominate while moving to the left while Mr.Glass breaks on the right???? we needed someone to come in say fuck George Warhops bullshit and teach these guys to pass block like a mean ass bunch of motherfuckers....look at what hudson huack has done in the past in 2007 his mediocre oline allowed almost 15 less sacks than us and that was the dolphins who had their left tackle (vernon Carey) moved to RT, their LG (chris liwinski)is out of football and previously was a backup on the horrible 2006 cardinals line, their center was a rookie, the RG (rex Hadnot)was a former Center and replaced by justin smiley for crying out loud and the RT(LJ Shelton who the niners decided against in free agency in 2005 and choose jonas jennings instead) is now a backup RT in SD...in 2005 his first year with the dolphins he had the fourth least sacks in the nfl...in 2004 he took a bunch of nobodys and turned their careers around with the chargers and got them playing like a playoff caliber line...Bottom line we have the talent on the offensive line but nolan's biggest mistake was keeping george the fuckup warhop....I pray to god this line can stay healthy and keep alex smith clean at least 85% of the time cuz if it can then its go time baybay
