Veteran offensive tackle Barry Sims has decided to sign a two-year deal with the 49ers, agent Ken Vierra said just moments ago. Sims picked the 49ers over the Rams.
Delanie Walker, the 49ers sixth-round draft pick in 2006, received a three-year extension worth $6 million this offseason. The deal included a $1.8 million signing bonus. He is now signed through the 2012 season.
The 49ers signed 6th-round pick Josh Morgan on Thursday. It is a 4-year deal. No word yet on the amount of the deal.
Not a whole lot happening this offseason. Most of the reports being heard have to do with everyones fascination with the “Ted” position. Aside from that here is the latest from Monday Morning Punter.
Today the NFL Network and Marshall Faulk were on hand at the 49ers practice and it seemed that everyone was gravitating to Faulk. During his time at the practice Faulk stressed that Gore’s role will be more important due to the inexperience of the 49ers’ QB’s.

Battle to return to OTA’s next week. He contacted coaches about missing them this week and stated it was due to “personal reasons.”
