The 49ers added depth to their O-line. Well, they added camp fodder. The 49ers have signed free agent guard Qasim Mitchell, 28, to a contract. Mitchell (6-6, 355) played college ball at North Carolina A&T (Maurice Hicks Alma Mater) Great now he’ll try jumping over everyone.
Over three seasons with the Bears, Qasim played in 21 games, starting 16 times. The best part is that he hasn’t played a regular-season game since 2005.
But hey as a senior at NC A&T, he was a Sheridan Broadcasting Network Black College All-American selection. Something that Kwame Harris could never say.
I think we we're really lucky to win that game... the defense wasn't great. They let gradkowski and campbell chuck ...

The 49ers look flat on offense with the exception of gore. Nate Bynam has dropped 2 balls on one ...

At least we signed him now and not 3 months from now. He can get conditioned and maybe provide some quality depth during the season. It’s not like we paid alot for him. I have a sneaky feeling that McNolan is going after OLB Quentin Groves with our first pick. I’d be happy if we got him.

This could be a depth signing for camps and competition. Since right now we don’t have much or any depth at all on oline.
Can’t see us giving him a big deal. to where he won’t/can’t be cut if he shows that he can’t play anymore.. If he can play and steps up and surprises coaching staff then great. We need all help on oline we can get.

i was watching the first day of off season program on the niners site and it looks like bryant johnson will be wearing the # 84
Heres how i see the draft several things can go different ways and no one is locked for us and this draft could go so bad for us that we may have to draft a RT such as Carl Nicks in round 1 OR it could go as good as a Martz type of receiver falling to us…from these 3 players one will be a niner..Brandon Albert OG Virginia, Desean Jackson WR CAL, Quentin Groves DE Auburn…and word is Groves may not get past the Jags…we very well may just trade our 1st rounder away if things dont fall into place
