The results are in and 49ers defensive rookie of the year Patrick Willis, didn’t win the Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Year. That honor goes to Viking Adrian Peterson. However, Willis won the head-to-head battle when the two guys faced off at Candlestick. Peterson gained just 3 yards on 14 carries. He’ll never have a worse day in his career.

Adrian Peterson has Chester Taylor to fill in when he got tired or for a change of pace. Patrick Willis did everything for his team.The dude had 174 tackles with a broken hand most of the year. This just goes to show that 90% of football fans are fucking stupid. Without P Willie we would have been one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Peterson on the other hand was out a couple of games this year and they still won. Fuck the Offensive, Defense is were its at. Good running backs come around quite often but great mlb don’t.

Willis does not need a diet rookie pepsi of the year to best the best rookie. It was a giving that peterson was goin to win it because the offense gets more publicity than defense. But , next year I believe Willis will be consistant while perterson will decline—then we will know who should have won the award. Willis doesn’t care about these little awards, I think he wants 1 award and thats Super BOWL.
A change in uniform is coming??? I say go back to the 80’s uniform. The great teams stick to their colors and don’t try to change them in some pathetic attempt to mask the short comings. The niners should go back to the old school jersey like they wore in the opening Monday night game against the Cards. Bring back the REAL NINER uniforms.

The highest I’ve seen Travaris is mid 3rd, but he has the athletic ability to put up some numbers at the combine. If we go line backer I really like Sean Crable from Michigan, he has good speed and can tackle with the best of them. Either Travaris or Crable would be good pick-ups in the third or fourth.

Personally I think the Niners uniforms are good looking now, the ones in the 80’s were ok but they didn’t look amazing. I think people think that if we wear the old uniform we will play good again. Just because the Niners in there prime wore those uniforms, you don’t have to think old uniforms=the good old days. 100% chance if Joe Montana wore the jersey we wear now, in the 80’s, and we wore the ones in the 80s now, everybody would beg to go back to the older ones. I can understand a change of mixing both, but completely going back, we would look really old, and we wouldn’t really fit in the NFL. I would rather have a mix of the old uniforms and a new design, or even the ones we have now, apparently people want to change the uniform because we haven’t been really good wearing it for most of the time. The cap killed us not the uniform! Unless you really really do think the jersey of the 80s look that good, I don’t like the pants colors, because they aren’t even GOLD, they are brownish. Brown is the color of crap, which is actually a good representation of what this team is now, but still, Gold=Wealth, Brown=Crap, I rather have a wealthy life than a crappy one, so I would rather have gold pants than brown ones.

The top free agent in the NFL wants to play for the 49ers.
Defensive end Jared Allen, who is scheduled for unrestricted free agency with the Kansas City Chiefs, attended Los Gatos High. He grew up a Raiders fan, but at this state he would prefer to play for the 49ers.
“Jared would welcome the opportunity to play in front of his hometown crowd,” said Ken Harris, Allen’s agent. “His family is up north. I have no doubt he has a high level of interest in playing (for the 49ers).”
Allen made similar comments yesterday to radio hosts Lamont and Tonelli of 107.7 The Bone, telling them he’d like to play for the 49ers.
However, a lot of pieces would have to fall into place for him to end up with the 49ers. After all, the Chiefs are expected to tag Allen as their franchise player with a tender of $8.9 million. That means any team wishing to sign Allen would have to cough up two first-round draft picks. The Chiefs could also make him an “exclusive” franchise player for a higher price and wipe out his ability to negotiate with other teams.
“It’s the worst-kept secret in the NFL that the Chiefs are going to franchise him,” Harris said. “But Jared has already said that if he plays on the franchise tender, he will never do a long-term deal with them.”
Allen is regarded as one of the NFL’s premier defenders. He recorded a league-high 15.5 sacks last season, led the league in passes batted down at the line of scrimmage and ranked at the top of the league in solo tackles from defensive ends.
If the Chiefs fail to sign Allen to a long-term contract by July 15, they could retain him for two seasons with back-to-back franchise tenders for a combined cost of more than $20 million.
Allen was a fourth-round pick from Idaho State who was selected more for his ability as a long-snapper. However, he quickly developed into a dangerous defender. He has 43 sacks in four seasons.
On Ebay they’ve been selling these knock off Willis jerseys. The primary color is black. They actually look pretty sick though, but I like the current uniforms.
The old uniforms are classy and simple, and the pants are kaki of sand colr not brown, They are gold but not shiny gold. We do not need to screw up the uniforms like we did the endzone logo. The old endzone logo was classy and not boring. The current endzone logo, the lettering 49ers in the ndzone is Boring and plain. Thre old endzone logo had spirit and tradition.(Bring it Back 49ers) It looked like the 49ers prospector days. I have one simple question, does the class act of Baseball the Yanks change their colors or logo or design? No! So either keep the current uniforms the same, or definitly bring back the 80’s uniforms, and change back the 49er endzone lettering.

The pants and helmet were the same color, made to go with each other…REAL red and gold (though more of a matted version of gold rather than the overly metallic shit they wear now). However, if you’ve ever actually seen the pants up close, you’ll see that they did actually have a slight shine to them…it was just a different sort of material that allowed actual COLOR to come through. The uniforms they have now are a fucking carbon copy of Boston College. You take the SF decal off and you can’t tell them apart.
And the 1980s and 1990’s were better than the current world. At the rate we’re going, this planet will be dead in 10 years or so. There’s practically nothing good left in the world. Pretty much everything was better back then. THAT is why we should go back to it. Because pretty much everything in the current world SUCKS and can’t hold a candle to shit from that era.
