Willis and Lee to Hawaii

Dec 18, 2007 13 Comments by FNN Staff

Willis becomes the first 49ers rookie since Ronnie Lott in 1981 chosen to the team. It is Lee’s first trip to play in the Pro Bowl game, too. Lee, a sixth-round draft pick in 2004, leads the NFC in gross and net punting with averages of 48.3 and 42.4. (Take that McBriar)

The 49ers have four alternates for the game: guard Larry Allen, cornerback Nate Clements, running back Frank Gore and defensive lineman Bryant Young.

Real good positive news for a change :) Good to know Willis is getting what deserves and same goes for Lee. Feel bad for Frank though, i could see his frustrations this season. Lets hope he does better next year.

BY, we salute you! You are truly a stud in the NFL. I wish you could have gotten a better deal on the Pro Bowl card, but you are without a doubt a 49er legend. Regardless of what the selections are, you are always a Pro Bowler in my book.

Frank would have been there again if he would have gotten 20+ carries a game.

  6. Medford says:

How many times u gonna say Frank should have gotten 20+ carries a game? If u r down by 20+ pts what r u suppossed to do keep running it all the time? Some people on this site r idiots probably only 10 years old football is a team sport dumbass!! Stop posting the same comment Gore didnt have a great year plain and simple!!

This isn’t really news, but http://www.profootballtalk.com is saying that MAJOR CHANGES are coming to the niners after this season…..check it out.

  9. Staxxx says:

I’m glad those 2 made it they deserve it.

For the dude talking that 20+ carries crap, it isn’t worth it to carry 20+ carries when your are averaging around 2 yards per carry. That’s a total of 60 yards on 6 2/3 possessions with not one pass. Think about it man. Their can only been 20+ carries in a game when the entire offense is doing their job.

  10. SouthBend says:

ok yeah you guys are right, just let Dilfer throw it every play cause he’s such a good quarterback.

  11. SouthBend says:

all Im sayin is that Frank is not being used to his full potential.I understand that teams stack the box but just give him a chance to do somethin.

  12. SouthBend says:

…..and for fucks sake I said it one time and everyone jumps on my dick about it.cant you guys focus on the topic and not fellow niner fans….startin to think medford and staxxx is realy patsfan190
