McKay Interested in 49ers?

There was some news tonight around the NFL that should pique the interest of 49ers fans. The talk in league circles is that there is a respected GM type who would like the opportunity to work for the 49ers.
There were a couple reports this evening that the Falcons have offered Bill Parcells a front-office position. Those separate reports originated from ESPN and Fox Sports. One of the reports stated that Falcons owner Arthur Blank told president and general manager Rich McKay he will not be back in the same role next season.
So, clearly, there appears a chance McKay will not be back with the Falcons in any role. Period.
There has been speculation for several weeks McKay thought his time was limited with the Falcons, and he did not expect to return next season. Around the same time, there was talk the 49ers were one of the teams McKay had pinpointed as a potential future employer.
I think we we're really lucky to win that game... the defense wasn't great. They let gradkowski and campbell chuck ...

Well, McKay is well respected around the league. So, that would be good for us. But, his choice of coach hiring is iffy. After all, it was his recommendation that put Petrino in Atlanta in the first place. Well, hopefully he will learn from that debacle and avoid college coaches when and if he hires the next Niner coach.
Yeah but remember arthur blank wanted to go after a college coach to begin with I think the feelings was mutual with mckay and blank but the nfl anchors said that blank didn’t want a nfl coach I’m just saying it wasn’t all on mckay.
NO NO NO NO 49ERS doesn’t need the left overs again. Forget this move and try for the Seahawks coach as GM.
If they do that then, forget it!…The Niners need to take time and hire someone with a proven record and reputation. Not someone with no experience and were losers other places. There is a lot of talented GM and coaches available now. Man, i hope they don’t screw up again…
I can’ beleive this! I guess the niners like to hire losers. We should be doing what the falconsare doing now. They are tryig to hire elite people. The tried to hire parcells, Bill cowher, but he won’t coch until 2010, and now they are looking atMarty Scotenheimer, and our own Mike Singltary. Why can’t we do that? Get people who are good. i don’t understand. We should try to get these guys. Parcells is trying to go to Miami now, c mon we are better than Miami! Parcells doesn’t want to be a coach, but he wants to be a talent evaluator, and the person that hires the GM and Coaches. Get him! He is amazing at picking good players! He built the Cowboys team! Look at them now! If anyobody could fix this team, it would be Parcells.
Parcells wants to be vice president of a football team.

All the talk about getting a winner. Good luck, why would a winner, leave a winning franchise to go to a franchise with a power hungry coach and a no nothing owner.

Herman Johnson OG 6 foot 7
Mario Urutio WR 6 foot 6
Marcus Monk WR 6 foot 6
Maurice Purify WR 6 foot 3 – 6 foot 4
These are the BIG players we should get. Get at least two of these recievrs, they are amazing! Alex Boone is a monster and Herman Johnson is huge also, this would make our offensive line as good as The Colts offensive line. We should also look for a outside linebacker in the draft, and get rid of Dereck Smith and go get Lance Briggs.This is a way to improve our talent on this team. Keep jim Hostler for one more year, and see if he learned from his many mistakes this season, it seems that he is starting to improve finally! Mike Nolan deserves to stay here if he drafts these players. If not… screw him!!!!
I exaggerated when i said like the Colts offensive line. But we would be a lot better. A young and HUGE offensive line. The buffalo Bills have the biggest offensive linemen in the league this year, and it is working REALLY well for them, even though they are still young, if we could get Mike Fladell he would be even bigger than Johnson, and supposedly better. The niners need big recievers , like Jerry Rice was. Quentin Groves will replace Bryant Young. Outside linebacker we should take to replace Tully banta Cain. Some are… Dan Connor,Keith Rivers, and
Xavier Adibi. These are the top three outside linebackers.

Life’s Good, all of these players are in order of what draft they will be taken in. Amazing! Our team could be winning in a season or two if we draft these guys.
We might have to wait a season until we acquire one of the really good outside linebackers. Our main priority is to get Two big recievrs and two big offensive linemen. That’s my goal. then next year we could draft purely on the dfensive line and the linebacker position. If we do get Lance Briggs , we will only be one outside linebacker away from having an all star young cast of linebackers (Patrick Willis, Manny Lawson, Lance Briggs, ?????) SOME SAY MANNY ISN’T GOOD, but he is. With him this season we were winning games, when he got injured we completely crumbled. He may be a key to this team. ( Maybe a Bob Sanders to the Colts, or even a Ray Lewis to the Ravens) I do know that Manny gives energy to this defense, something Willis doesn’t have.) With Willis everybody watches him and says Holy Shit! With Manny 2-0, without 2-10.
Looks like B.Y. will play his last home game Sunday. The last link to the glory years, and as classy as they come. He will be missed. Maybe they can hire him to the coaching staff or something to keep him around.
this is way off subject but are the niners gonna be sportin the throwbacks next year?
If Frank Gore would have gotten 20+ carries a game he would have been in the probowl. 20+ carries is the key.
