This little tidbit is from the folks over at Pro Football Weekly.
How disappointing has WR Darrell Jackson been as a Niner? According to one longtime team insider, he could be the worst starting wide receiver the team has had in some time, and that includes the departed Brandon Lloyd, who turned out to be pretty terrible. “Not only does he go out of his away to avoid contact,” the insider told PFW. “He even fumbles the balls he catches. He can get open, but he never seems to make a clean catch.”
I think we we're really lucky to win that game... the defense wasn't great. They let gradkowski and campbell chuck ...

It was Joe Staley. 9ers got DJax for a 4th rounder. Now that looks to be a steep price.
9ers need to spend all salary cap dollars on a QB, WRs and a LG.
What is his contract situation? I.e., can we ditch him this summer without taking a hit?

This is the tenth time I’ve said this on this site, but I ‘ll say it again: Darrel Jackson is the worst starter on the 9ers’ roster.

The Seahawks got a steal by getting a 4th round for Jackson. I believe the Patriots gave a 4th round to get Moss.
Yeah, Lloyd was a great rapper.

Does anyone think DJax is dropping passes on purpose to try & get out of this mess? I think he is. The guy is in his prime & I’m sure he see’s this franchise as no where near getting him to the SBowl as soon as he wants to. I say drop him to a backup & draft or buy in FA a #1 playmaking WR.
I can’t wait for this drama in the Offseason to unfold. God forbid we keep this idiot jackass Nolan. It’s a given (it better be) that Hostler will be cut. Fire the entire Offensive Staff (maybe keep Gore’s mentor the RB’s Coach). When we get this GM/HC/Offensive Coaching all straightened out & actually get some NFL level playcalling & execution perfected at some consistent REAL practice sessions I hope we can get the Offense on track. If & when we do keep DJax benched until his ass earns his way back. I see him as another Moss situation. He wants out & who can blame him w/these imbeciles here?
He’s 1 of the few real receivers we have w/VD & Lelie. AB is a #3 to me. Bench him & make him sweat it out to get back to a starting role. We still have so many holes to fill I believe we should still hang onto him. If he still screws up badly we can trade or cut him during the 08′ season.

brandon lloyd sucked-sure he could make an acrobatic catch here and there but thats it, he could never get open and hasn’t done shit for the skins
what sucks about him is every time the camera pans to him, he looks like he couldn’t give a fuck about being at the game. as a matter of fact, most of the time he looks like he’s high on pott. i wouldn’t be surprised if he failed the league’s substance abuse testing.
I read something on Matt Maiocoo’s blog that said that Nolan might go with Trent Dilfer at QB next year. WHAT!!!!!!! IF THIS HAPPENS THEN I WILL BE DONE WITH WATCHING THIS DONKEY TEAM FOR GOOD. COME ON YORK FIRE THIS IDIOT NOW SAVE UR FAN BASE WHILE U STILL HAVE ONE!!!

Brandon Lloyd? That guy could sure catch some spectacular receptions….if he could also catch the ones thrown right at him, he’d still be here.

My fellow fans please as Nolan would say “stay the course” FUCK THAT!!! they need to bench DJax let someone else play Lelie,Hill,Gilmore…hell Antonio Bryant is a free agent sign him up anyone would be an upgrade…But let’s focus on the real problem here and that’s our QB position-Dilfer…I hate to say this cause I’m a fellow Bulldog alum, but he SUCKS ass…we need better play at the QB position….maybe the real problem is Nolan with drafting of all those wasted picks on WR’s….Bwilliams,Rmarshal to name a few…they should fire Nolan and make Mike Singletary the Head Coach-you want passion and motivation he’s got plenty.
With the non-production we are getting at WR, we might as well kept Antonio Bryant. Sure he was a pain in the ass, but at least he caught passes that were thrown at him, and he put up respectable stats. D-Jax is our #1 WR and he can’t catch shit. We wasted a 4th rounder on his ass.
I cant believe that with all the dumb shit that has been seen on d-jack, why they haven’t released his ass at this point really pisses me off. the way I would have liked is if they let his ass go, then it could be Ashley in the starting role to stretch the field, battle the second guy and have gilmore in the slot. at least gilmore can catch something

We better throw the ball to Davis, because he is on my fantasy team in the playoffs. There is nobody else available so please use Davis! Plus he should beast against that shitty pass defense the vikes have. They all out blitz, use quick throws to Vernon Davis, or a slant to Battle, or throw the ball in the flat so there is lots of room to run after the catch. Darrel Jackson can suck my Dick!

what i just realized that we got nothing in return for lloyd…the third rounder from 06 was brandon william and then we got a 4th this year which went for jackson…
