The 49ers went with their throwbacks this weekend, but only the defense was worthy of wearing them. The defense gave the offense every opportunity to win this game, but once again the offense looked bad. They couldn’t run the ball, they couldn’t catch the ball, and the playcalling well that is another story.
Out of the what the hell is Nolan thinking category, 1:55 left, down by 7, 4th down, on the 29 yard line, and they kick a field goal? If that doesn’t attribute to Nolan getting fired, not sure what will.

Arnaz Battle and DJAX MUST BE CUT….we are better off throwing Lelie and Hill into the game and letting them fight it out because our RECEIVERS KILLED US IN THIS GAME!!! Don’t come at me with Arnaz Battle being quality….he is CRAP…where has he been all season??? DJAX dropped at least four catchable passes and one of the those was a VERY CATCHABLE PASS for and NFL RECEIVER. Too bad for us, DJAX is a has been with Gator arms…he can’t help it… that is all Florida receivers do. We need to use our first pick on a receiver and can we please make them at least 6′4″ because these midgets aren’t getting it done. WE ARE ONE OF THE THREE WORST TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW!!! Vernon Davis brought quality, but the rest did not and neither did our o line.

So I was thinking…wouldn’t it make since to run the ball more because as the whole planet knows the 49ers are NOT going to drop 35+ a game. Gore had how many carries? 15! Ball control Niners. We suck!
Even thou they came close after getting the ball back late in the fourth I agree with the rest of you that it doesn’t make much sense.
Also, the play calling is messed up beyond belief. Earlier in the first quarter on the St. Louis 9 yrd line and they call 2 running plays. WTF?!!
First running play gets 1 yard, then you certainly don’t go back to AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Face it boyz when it’s over (season) we’ll be 2-14. The RAMS were our only chance of winning another game this year…Cardinals, Panthers, Vikings (god help us if Peterson is back) Bengals, Browns and Bucs can all score MORE then 9 pts.

Darryl Jackson is absolutely worthless. Jim Hostler is absolutely worthless. Rod Woodson was stating the obvious all day. On 3rd and 8, how can you call a 4 yard crossing route? Hostler is a fucking idiot, and he doesn’t deserve to be a coach in this league.
Frank Gore is starting to piss me off a little bit. He’s starting to develop that stutter step before he hits the hole just like that faggott Barlow did before he got ran out of town. He did that at least twice on 3rd and short.
Nolan’s days are numbered. More so now especially after that retarded field goal call. How’s that call supposed to help? WTF???

Pretty much sums up the game and our season. EVERYONE IS TO BLAME!
I have to say that the 49ers are done for this season. They should start planning for the off season and let a lot of players walk/cut. Frank Gore should just stay off the field. He can’t seem to bounce out when the hole is not there. Too many F***CKed up plays. I can’t believe we lost to the Rams. Good luck keeping your head up niner. We are done.
that was some stupid play calling at the end, why go for a field goal when down by 7, then starting again with a minute and a half with on the ten yard yard line. Patrick willis has been hurt, i think he broke his right hand.

My vote is Darrel Jackson: He contributes absolutely nothing to this team but complaints, a lost 4th round pick, and more dropped passes than I thought were humanly possible. Absolutely horrible.
The less Gore touches the ball, the better the offense does.

As of right now the 49ers are not a passing team, so what the only thing left would be a running team. Which we can’t do either!
two years in a row we’ve lost st. louis on controversial calls from nolan. i’m not sure what this fucker is thinking not going for it. you only have two wins this year for fucks sake. go for it. playing not to lose is definitely different than playing to win.
oh and hostler’s play calling again was incredibly predictable in the final two series. this team is lost.

It’s easy to see after this loss, that the OC is the one to blame here. Just pathetic play calling here all day. Too many stupid short routes, and not enough spreading the offence out. A lot of Gore’s good runs last year were when they had 3 wides, not the stupid standard and all too common ” I ” formation with 2 WR. Every defence we play smells run, and stuffs it. Hoster has ABSOLUTELY no clue how to call a game. It’s just too bad there is nobody else out there to hire. I do feel that our O-line played better protecting the QB and giving him time to throw, but with our sad play-calling it wasn’t enough. Defence played stellar all game and gave us a chance to win. I now see how and why SEA gave up D-Jack to us. He’s crap !! Potential game tying TD in his hands, and drops it ! All I would want to see in these last 6 games is some promise on offence. Spread ‘em out and use 3 or 4 WR. It will open the lanes for Gore. Other than that, I could care less about the season. I do think we will win 3 more games.
yep. i’m sure holmgren is having a good laugh over our issues with darrel jackson. every time he appears on my screen, he looks like he doesn’t give a fuck. no fire and no try and this guy. i don’t care what anyone says but i would take terrel owens over this guy in a second. bottom line is that t.o. cared and he wanted to win. his stats proved that.
on another note, i never liked the decision to get rid of julian peterson. he’s played very well in seattle and we definitely could have used him.

Who the hell is writing the headlines to this site? Seriously, I have never heard so much crying in all my time as a 49er fan. Nolan should be fired because he kicked a field goal instead of going for it on 4th and 10? Before you make comments about what you would have done different take a few snaps or spend some time around the game.
Let me see, your offense is a complete mess, if I kick a field goal I will have three time outs left and the Rams will try to run out the clock when they get the ball back. Instead of going into overtime (that’s if my team gets a first down on 4th and ten)with an offense that can’t seem to move the ball at all I’ll take my chances and try for the win. By the way, Nolan is not the one dropping the ball. Next time all you chops want to cry let me know ahead of time so I can supply a box of tissue.

dude, coach nolan, although a classy, respectable guy must go. it would be good for both sides. he is simply regressing, this franchise is a mess right now and there is really no solution in site. it’s just not working out, i want to see what alex can do with an o.c. who has a brain, maybe throw him into the west coast offense. think about it, in order to be an effective west coast qb, you have to be mobile. alex is mobile. you have to be athletic, alex is athletic. west coast passers have never been known for their giant arms, alex does not have a good arm, i feel, when he is effective it is because of short passes that rely on accuracy. the tight end is also implemented very heavily in a west coast scheme, we have the tight end to do it, we are just not using him to our advantage.

Skywalker you’re a moron. Even w/the field goal you have to score a touchdown. The 49ers have as much trouble getting it into the red zone as they do the endzone. You take a chance and go for it while you’re there. Asking them to get inside the 20 twice in that span of time is a little bit of a stretch don’t ya think? You don’t have to be “around the game” to figure that out.

Taking a shot on 4-10 is a good gamble and if your Defence stops them 3 and out then you get the ball back at mid-field and NOT at your 10!
