Since their wide receivers have been so bad, why not split out Davis, or at least run two-tight end formations with the OTHER tight end doing the blocking? Or put in Estes and just have him block all the time while Davis runs wild through the opponents' secondaries? Actually, KNBR’s Rod Brooks was talking about Smith the day after the last Seattle game and said that Smith was overthrowing his receivers in practice three hours before the game, just like he did in the game.
