Another week, another loss. Not that at this point it should come as a surprise. It obvious that this coaching staff is clueless and in way over its head. You have the worst offense in the league and do nothing to fix it. Sad, truly sad.

- Offense line played best it has all season. (Suck it Jennings)
I think we we're really lucky to win that game... the defense wasn't great. They let gradkowski and campbell chuck ...

Im still with Alex Smith. He showed alot of heart yesterday staying in the game we really need a wr who could catch though. BRING BACK ANTOINO BRYANT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I completly agree with Ryan the 1st. I loved Arnaz Battle a few years ago but he has to go also we really need tall wideouts and a pass rush Bryant Young please retire you cant do it anymore. We didnt even come close to sacking Brees and they had a rookie playing center. When you have all day to throw the ball it doesnt matter whos at cb u cant cover for 5 min. If we dont beat Atlanta then we deserve to be 3rd worse team in the NFL.

Medford, you hit the nail on the head. I would like to add Smiley, Battle, and Derek Smith to your list (he just isn’t getting it done). We could get a quality replacement in the fourth round. Plus, not too many teams will go after a linebacker until later in the draft. This is going to be a d line, receiver, and o line draft…..LUCKY FOR US BECAUSE WE NEED ALL OF THESE BAD!!!!
for me, the jury is still out on Heitman because he has given up a lot of hurries and sacks. Often the breakdowns come from one of his gaps.
OK who is watching Alex? Not You guys. If you watched Cutler last night, he has less time in the league and actually looks like a QB, that what we need. NOT ALEX from UTAH.
Nolan is a good coach and knows the game inside and out, but when it comes be being a HC in this league you’ve gotta get your hands dirty.
You’re not here to make friends and I thing Mike Nolan’s down fall will be that he is too nice. I mean, really fire or demote Hostler and find someone else or call the plays yourself.
Shaking things up is a good thing and sometimes it’s neccessary. Other teams are doing it, Denver is a good example. Shannahan just puts guys in that can do the job and if not he finds the players that will…period!!

yo maybe URban Meyer as OC/HC.he worked with Alex Smith in College.Then we can Draft Tebow and we can have that Chris Leak/Tebow combo like they did in the 2006 National Championship.anyone else diggin this idea?
alright here is what i think about this the niners are not going to fire head coach mike nolan simply because they would lose all creditabilty with what they are trying to build there i think we will see another OC to make alex start with #4 OC what ever the defence will re amp up they played strong up until this game so we dont need to worry and as for urban myer coming in yeah right he is in his dream job at florida no way back to the OC i just don’t understand how you dont know how to use the personal for god sakes maybe play alittle madden give the old wife the tickle pickle and get to work we need five straight wins to get us over 500 and give us a shot at this we are still in it and we play the falcons we can win this
I’ve tried to give Nolan, and even Hostler, the benefit of the doubt thus far. I think that is coming to an end. I think it’s been proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that Hostler is not a good coordinator. That’s really not Nolan’s fault. The Chargers screwed him over by taking his star OC late into the offseason. Nolan had no other options for OC. Because of that, I am willing to give Nolan another shot. But, Hostler MUST be fired at season’s end. I would say fire him now, but who would they replace him with? No, this season is lost, and the Niners will be lucky to finish with last year’s record. If Nolan fires Hostler and shakes things up in the offseason (which will be tough with a probable low first round pick) I will give him one more chance. But, seriously, if Nolan refuses to fire Hostler, he is officially the dumbest head coach ever and must be canned. As far as the anti-Alex Smith stuff is concerned: Well, I don’t think Smith is going to be the next Montana or Young, but with the right personnel around him, he’s not bad. Right now, he desperately needs some decent receivers. Give him some good receivers. If he still sucks then, ok, I will agree he is a bust.
It seems to me that our old coach is having a better season in green bay this season than our head coach has had since he has been here.
Maybe it’s time for nolan to go or be demoted to Defensive Coordinator and I say bring in Bill Cower or Bill Parcels that way they’re proven winning coaches and that gives our players a coach that’s not going to take poor play, the thing with Bill Parcels is if he wants to coach again but man I would love his interviews with the media because he don’t take no shit with them.
Alex smith proved one thing to me… HE’s A Tough guy.. But, that does’nt make him a great QB. it just makes him a tough guy. Cutler has shown more promise in 12 starts than Smith has shown in 3 years. I dont understand it really,smith has a good arm(not a rocket) but a good arm, good foot speed and supposed to be very cerebral… but wait a min, maybe we all should’f seen this coming.. Was it not Nolan that said when smith was drafted that “HE WILL NOT TAKE US TO THE PROMISE LAND”? ..yeah, i remember that. I like Smith, he seems like a good (nolan) guy. But i’ve never seen a “real QB’s” look and swagger to him. I dont blame Smith though, i blame the people that told him on day one that he was’nt the savior of this team.. why not give him a chance to grow up and be confident that he is The QB and leader of the forty F-ing Niners!
Im tired of people saying”well hes not throwing picks”.. Thats because he is’nt taking chances. But hey, cant blame him for throwing 12ft high to 6ft recievers with stone hands. Yes faithful, im being very sarcastic.I blame Smith as well as the whole organization.

Why are you guys hopeful? This team should be 0-7 and the only game we are likely to win is against the Rams. What is there to be hopeful about? Change, maybe.

Yeah Hudson is coming around…Stricland you can’t rely on. I am all about getting rid of the people can’t perform. We need people who show up every weekend and right now that is Alex Smith, Gore, Staley, Baas, and Lelie…yeah their stats aren’t terrific, but I can tell they are at least TRYING. DJAX is a mellow stoner who doesn’t really care. Battle has the heart and the speed, but NO ABILITY. Vernon Davis has the freakish skills, but can’t catch the ball half the time. WE NEED PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO SHOW UP. Even if we beat the Falcons…SO WHAT…90% of the league would win at this point IN ATLANTA…THEY’RE PATHETIC.
