Steelers Fan: ‘Frank Gore is Arrogant’

steelers-fanGotta love them Steeler fans.

I usually avoid going to opposing fan forums, mainly because majority of them are idiots, but I was sent this link to a Steelers forum and I had to respond. According to member SteelFist, Frank Gore is arrogant, and no that wasn’t a typo.

How one can call Frank arrogane is beyond me, but I guess we shouldn’t expect anything different coming from a Steelers fan. They almost make Raider fan look intelligent…I said almost.

Frank Gore is very arrogant for someone who’s had only one good season. As a matter of fact, he was the same way last season. I don’t care for him too much. He really needs to get hit, and I hope we’re the team to do it.

Now I know I’m a homer and the majority of the time the team can do no wrong, but to say Frank Gore is arrogant is laughable. Frank may be the most humble player in the game. So, after reading what that asshat SteelFist had to say about Frank I hope and pray that the 49ers beat the living crap out of the Steelers this weekend and Gore puts up 200.

yeah, i agree, and speacially after his mother just dies to, Frank Gore is one of the most humbelest and classiest players in the league. my freinds a steelers fan and thats all ive heard this week. living here in jersey we were supposed to go see it but the tickets were sold out when we last checked :(

  2. gee-ray says:

i was supposed to go to, but cannot due to other obligations. but you can get tickets online, you;ll just pay higher.. stubb hubb.com. anyway, no doubt that frank gore is one of the more humble players in the league. so that comment by the steelers fans is a joke

  3. Eric says:

Man, F the Steelers and their fans. Frank is the man. If anyone is arrogant it’s all the damn Steeler fans I run into out here on the East Coast. Maybe they’re bitter about being the 1st to 4 Super Bowls, but only the 3rd to 5. As for this season… way to beat 2 crappy teams so far… now you gotta face our new and improved D. Hope our D crushes them, and Gore rushes for a career high… then to show just how arrogant he is, dedicates it to his late mother. Ohhh, so arrogant. Bastards.

  4. jeremy says:

this is off the subject but it has alot to do with the 49ers. Please play Ashley Lelie. I see why guys get pissed and say things that they shouldnt say sometime to the press. Ashley Lelie knows he is better than Taylor Jacobs and yet he stands on the sideline. Why did we go after this guy if all we are going to do in keep him on the sideline. Nolan i agree with alot of things u have done but come on its been two games and two games we should be 0-2 not 2-0. Going into a season you ask your defence to win you 3 or 4 games ok thats 2 games the defence has won for us get the offence going

  5. 1st Grade English says:

I agree with you….however offenSe and defenSe my friend.

  6. JNova80 says:

Arrogant? Are you fucking kidding me?!

  7. OCNinerFan says:

Unbelievable. The comment must have been made by an underachieving, steel, polish gopher. Whatever SteelFist. More like SteelFisted! If anything it looks like the chick in the picture ate Frank Gore. Have another one.

  8. Eric says:

    JNova80 -
I’m the other Niner fan living in VA Beach… we talked before about the Carolina game. Where do you watch the games? I watch them at “R” Bar and Grill (formerly Hometown Heroes) on Shore Dr. A real good place, but there’s too many Steeler fans there. We need to get some more Niner fans there to represent this Sunday!

  9. FunkyFrank says:

I just read through all the entries in that forum. Personally, I think most of them are scared. What’s their deal with trying to guess the score? Sorry about your luck Fast Willie, but this week you meet Faster P Willie! Prepare for a schooling. I liked the comment about A. Smith having a little Montana/Elway in him. Now, if only Coach will attack with the many passing tools we have, I think that will open Gore up for a huge performance. I’d like to see V. Davis and Frank The Tank put a nice bruise on Polomalu(sp?). Maybe I’m an old school fan, but does anyone else miss the air attack we used to be known so well for? As long as we keep winning, I don’t care though. Go Niners!

  10. Lowrance says:

From the looks of the picture you posted it looks like the person ATE Frank Gore (and a few others!)…..LOL

  11. Danny says:

Lowrance, no shit that thing is huge. I would be more worried about losing weight than saying Gore or anybody for that matter is arrogant. Hit the road running you fat piece of shit!

  12. JNova80 says:

I watch my games at home with Sunday Ticket. My Steelers fans want to watch the game with me but I cannot stand hearing shit from the opposing team’s fans. If I wasn’t going to be on the Niners sideline at the Carolina game, I wouldn’t have bought tickets. If I watch a game, I have to be with mostly Niner fans, I just get really pissed during the game, hahaha!

  13. Douche Bag says:

We should see if Pittsburgh is willing to trade us the girl in yellow (see picture with post) for Kwame. Put her opposite Larry Allen and Gore will rush for 3,000.

  14. JNova80 says:

No, bad deal. She wouldn’t help Gore because he is just too arrogant, what is his deal? Emotional and talks to his mom? Cries when the Niners hook him up with a nice deal? Who in the hell does he think he is?

  15. Chief6988 says:

    What a bunch of LOSERS!

If you can’t handle a bunch of morons predicting what they think of a game, then don’t go read the forum.

I feel bad for Gore losing his mom, but him losing his mom, and someone thinking he is arrogant are 2 different things, unless you are to childish to make that distiction and realize everyone has their own opinion.

Oh and as far as the game… Niners has problems with the last 2 Defenses they played, wait till this Sunday, they will be against a completely differend class of Defense than they have seen in a while.

I do give them credit, the niners are improved defensively, but I don’t see them holding the Steelers O very much. The Steelers O is greatly underestimated. Willie is right there with Gore on the running back level, their O line is playing well, they have the receivers to get deep, they have 2 good TE’s, oh and one of the best Receivers in the game over the past 5 years, not to mention one of the top 5 or 6 QBs in the game.

Go on, keep thinking Ben is merely a game manager… you’ll be greatly mistaken.

That maybe how he was used in the past, but he is capable of a LOT more, and this year it is being put on his sholders.

I wish you SF fans best of luck, and of course anything can happen on any given Sunday, but remember, the Vegas odds makers are very good at what they do, and they don’t like to lose money.. so if they set the line giving the Niners 9 points, it could get Ugly.

I say final Score Steelers 21 Niners 7

  16. Douche Bag says:

Hey Chief! You are a complete douche bag. What are you talking about… Steelers O? They have played Buffalo and Cleveland!! Our defense is better than their offense. Just as their defense is better than our offense. This is a defensive game. I am confident the Niners are going to be a little more exploratory when it comes to their offense given the Steelers defense and the bashing they have taken. Again, the Steelers have played the Browns and the Bills, so don’t get too excited about the defense just yet! Greatly mistaken about Big Ben? Who said anything about him here? Nobody. So, here you go Chief…

    Niners 17, Steelers 14

  17. Niner Pundit says:

Chief…I have no problem with Steeler fans thinking they are going to win, that is what I expected. I was just amazed that someone said Frank is arrogant. Have they ever heard Frank speak? Dude is far from arrogant. He is very humble.

And Ben being in the top 5-6 QB’s…seriously put the pipe down.

    Couple things:

Cards WR & Rams WR > Steelers WR
    Steven Jackson > Willie Parker

Only thing Steelers are better at than the other teams the Niners have played is they have a very good defense.

  18. Eric says:

    Preach on Niner Pundit

  19. Frank Gore is the farest from arrogant.

  20. Chief6988 says:

Hey, I can’t account for someone thinking someone else is arrogant… unless he explains why he things that… you got me there, I don’t know Gore, all I know is he has a LOT of talent, but peronality, I don’t know him one bit. I didn’t call him arrogant.

I’m just saying, most of the people in these forums are morons that don’t know a lick of football. I used to play at a very high level, and honestly I am not a homer, I look at things objectivly, break them down and talk about it.

Point is the AFC is still far superior to the NFC.

You don’t believe me about Ben being in the top 5 or 6… watch my friend.

A lot of people don’t realize what the boy can do. Unless you were a steelers fan watcing all of the games you wouldn’t know that down the stretch their SB year when they won their final 8 games they didn’t do it running the ball. They torn up teams passing. They lit them up in the firts half, then they took the air our of the ball and ran the clock in the late 3rd and 4th Qs.

He had a poor superbowl, but even then he just makes big plays when the pressure is at it’s highest.

In collage he was in a passing offense he thrw the ball about 50 times per game. And with their new offensive coordinator he is airing it out more this year.

Thik what you want… just watch and see… email me after the game and let me know what you think then. And again, hey anything can happen, anyone can win, but I just don’t see San Fran beating them now.

I think the Colts, and Pats are better than the steelers right now, but that is about it. This is largly the same core of a team that wonm the SB year before last, that torn teams up. They had a bad year last year, they are motivated, and playing with a huge chip.

Oh and Douche Bag, you the Douche Bag it even says so in your name. ;-)

I’m just giving you my honest educated opinion. I thin San Fran is moving in the right direction, but their 2-0 start is misleading. They are not there just yet.

And no you D is not as good (at least I don’t think) as our O Remember, our O practices against our D every day… and we play the Ravens twice a year.

Then again.. we also play the No D Bungles also.. he he…

    Let’s have some FUN!!! :-)

    Again, best of luck!!!

  21. Chief6988 says:

Oh yeah.. take a look at this… interesting read if you don’t think Ben is any good.

And yeah , I know you didn’t say anything about him hear… but you are under-rating him offensivly… so read up…

  22. Eric says:

Ben’s the proud owner of a prestigious record: Lowest Passer Rating of a Winning SB QB Ever. In other words… he didn’t do much to win that game for Pittsburgh. (In my view, it was mostly Parker, Bettis, and the refs that did that.) Not quite a record that would go along with a top 5 or 6 QB.
Funny… arguing about QB greatness with Niner fans… I think we’ve seen our share of great QB’s in our time. Next you’re gonna want to argue about receivers.

  23. FunkyFrank says:

I think Mr. Chief already did mention (not really argue) the Steel Curtain’s wide receivers. No names were listed, but “one of the best receivers in the game over the past 5 years”, who I’m assuming is Hines Ward, has not been producing much this season as he has started on my fantasy team the past two weeks.

Well, he produced a whopping 11 points against Cleveland and 5 points against Buffalo. I hope he starts living up to his stature as far as my fantasy football league goes. But you know, there are two sides to pitching and catching. I don’t typically watch Steelers games, so I don’t know who to pin my aggravations on for those first two games. Maybe he can put up 20+ points like Galloway did last week for the Bucs. I highly doubt that since I have much more confidence in out D than that and will not be starting Mr. Ward this week.

This promises to be a good match-up, and I hope Hines is ready to deal with the $80M Nate Clements and Willie is ready to take a bruising from P. Willis (soon-to-be defensive rookie of the year) and maybe even a few licks from SF’s most bashed linebacker, but talented and seasoned veteran D. Smith.

Niner fans, please hold your breath on that last comment. Give the guy some respect for leading the team in tackles for the last couple years. I’m not saying he’s even nearly as talented as the rook (or any of the other LBs), but he has the experience and the instinct. Let’s face it, we have a good linebacking corps, and hopefully the D as a whole can outperform that stingy Steeler D on Sunday. I wish I could watch the game, but I’ll be on the road. Damn road trips!

  24. FunkyFrank says:

Oh, and was that article really written by a swimsuit model? I’m not sure whether to take it seriously or not.

  25. 1st to Six! says:

I hope that Oline girl in the pic tries to take Gore ON!

  26. Danny says:

Chief6988, we can talk about the 49ers all day, but I would be worried about your 0-2 Chiefs! I will agree with you that the AFC is A-Lot better than the NFC, but your team is 0-2! If I remember correctly, they have only scored one touchdown! Since, you have played at a high level, maybe you should reevaluate your situation and go to Chiefs blog site and discuss the problems and highlights of your team. I don’t know why you would come in here and converse about the Steelers? If the Chiefs were going to play the Niners this year, I could possibly understand why you would be in here. So why are you in a Niners blog site!

  27. Danny says:

To all the Niner Fans, we haven’t seen rams for life in here, maybe now he is the chief’s fan.

  28. Danny says:

Look at that picture again, that girl is enormous! She could play nose tackle for the Steelers! She is so huge that I can see her in a 4.0 stance in the goal line package stuffing the run and her face at the same time.

  29. KR3W says:

is that a chick or the sun in that pic?hey two words gastric bypass.

  30. Xpnsivwino says:

even that yellow shirted whatever is not going to stop Frank Gore.

  31. OCNinerFan says:

Doing some minor Google investigation, I think that Chief6988 is actually Kerry J. Byrne, the author of the article posted and self proclaimed Bathing Suite Model. Copy this link http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Meet_The_Trolls.php for some more insight and a picture. Careful what you see. Not quite as big and the giant yellow canary in the picture, but a few jelly doughnuts shy of being the next contestant on the Biggest Loser.

  32. 49ersfan77 says:

hell ya frank gore is awesome what a mistake i hate the stleers for life now fuck them fan and the players i hope the the 49ers knock there socks off pits going down GO NINERS!!!!!!!!3-0 BABY !!!!!!THIS IS POSTER BORD MATERAL STEELERS ARE GOING DOWN GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!

  33. 49ersfan77 says:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HIPO

  34. SteelFist says:

Hey Niner Pundit, I’m SteelFist! The one who made that comment. I can’t believe I found a blog quoting that post…lol. I’ll tell you why I feel that way about him. Last year vs the Seahawks (NFL Reply) I saw/heard him boasting on the sidelines during that game in which you guys won. In an on-field interview afterwards he gave kudos to himself. And I thought that was pretty arrogant for someone who has not played in the league a full 2 years, and hasn’t started a full year.

Last week I watched him score that 43 yd run and taunt the Rams defense on his way into the EZ. I didn’t like it. The same way I didn’t like it when Reggie Bush did a similar taunt to the Bears last season (NFC Championship). I’m a stickler for those type of things, they irritate me. Now correct me if I’m wrong about him, you obviously know more than I do. I do know that he’s a great RB, and it will be a difficult challenge trying to stop him this Sunday.

  35. SteelFist says:

BTW, that picture is not of me…lol. That is a generic pic that other teams use when talking about the Steelers. It can be found on many MB’s.
