Well that settles that and to think we thought the reason the offense was not playing well was because of poor line play, not being able to run the ball, Hostler’s playcalling and Smith not making quick decision. But come to find out it was because of Darrell Jackson’s hair, which caused his helmet to sit on his head to high.
Whew…glad we got that straightened out. Seattle better watch out now.
“I cut it. I couldn’t see the ball,” said Jackson. “My helmet was too high on my head. I tried to get away with it for three games. Now, it’s a little better.”

Was it last year that we had one of the most fun games in history against Seattle? I watched it over and over again this summer just for the first half!!! Fumbles, interceptions….we could do no wrong and Seattle could do no right!

Get a freakin’ haircut then Jackson. I’m not a 49ers fan, but this team has some real potential this year and its annoying to hear comments like that. Take responsiblity for you not living up to your potential. This team can potentially be a playoff team (although probably wildcard) if he and Gore start producing a little better.
I know Antonio Bryant had off the-field issues, that nolan did not want concern himself with, but were is Antonio and would thew 49ers consider bringing him back. I hope so at this point, because I feel the receivers are the Major concern of this team going anywhere. Antonio wasn’t a giant in size, but I persoanly think he was the best Receiver on the team last year.(Even better than Battle. A little bit better) I’m sorry if Nolan can except Tarrell Brown, and give him a second chance he should do the same for Antonio. I think Antonio just had a huge attitude and nolan could’nt handle that Bullshit. All feelings aside i wish he would come back, this would make us extremely better offensively. I’m not huge on Antonio being an EX-cowboy, but he can Hella Ball! Send this idea to the 49ers bring Back Antoni Bryant, he deserves a second chance. Is he still available? Is he playing? Send this to coach!
Bryant is out of the league if that tells you anything. His talent doesn’t outweigh his horrible attitude. With a receiver like, say, TO, you put up with the crap cause he is arguably one of the best WR’s in the game. Bryant was good when he wanted to be and didn’t have enough talent to make up for it when he didn’t. Playing WR in the NFL is mostly about attitude. Look at Battle, not the most talented guy in the league, but he’s willing to work every play and he gets rewarded for it.
Jackson has the talent, unfortunately he is a little lazy and doesn’t necessarily give 100% every play. But he had 10 TD’s in Seattle last year, so he must be doing something right. Give him time, he’ll come around.
That said, WR has to be a point of emphasis for the Niners this off season. Battle is a great slot/possession receiver, but those guys are not usually the 2nd best receiver on your team. Jackson would be a great #2. Now they need to go find a #1. The problem is there really won’t be any in free agency, and the draft is always a crap shoot when it comes to WR.

I think Antonio Bryant would help. He was pretty good. Hell, we would all be pissed at our QB if it was Alex Smith. I think that was his problem. But, you have to be a professional.
