Today in Around Ninerland we’ll take a walk and see what is being said a few days after the 49ers victory over the Cardinals. Also if you haven’t yet, make sure you keep voting for Patrick Willis for NFL Rookie of the Week.
- Vote Patrick Willis NFL Rookie of the Week – (currently he is leading with 50% of the vote)
- Greg Manusky > Billy Davis - (No surprise here, this is like saying Eva Longoria is hotter than Bea Arthur)
- The Smith-Leinart comparison will never end – (Years from now they’ll still be comparing these two. Let’s just hope then Smith is the Manning and Leinart is Leaf in these comparisons)
- Arnaz Battle is Mr. Clutch – (They bring in Lelie, Jackson, and others. But yet Battle is still the most reliable.)

He should be actually,he keeps playing like that he’ll be up for rookie of the year and anytime Mike Singletary gives a big praise about him, that explains it right there about this dudes talent.
Bring back the throwbacks. We need the 81 uniforms for good. Those uniforms looked sharp and classy. When we changed from the 81 throwbacks it was like changing the traditional Yankee uiniforms. That team has kept its tradition and it’s uniforms the same. We need to keep the winning tradition the same. Please 49ers go back to the 81 style uniforms!
Patrick Willis will be rookie of the Year. The guy is at every play, again, and again. This kid is unbelievable, and he will be the best linebacker we had since Ken Norton. This guy will be a Hall of Famer. Hopefully since he grew up a cowboy fan he will not be a free agent and end up their one day. Seems like the cowgirls always try to pick up our All-stars going back to Charles Haley, D.Sanders, B.O., Kosier, and Parrish. It’s like the cowgirls have a Private scout with our Team. Always trying to still our stars. I hate Free Agency. The Cowboys need to go down once and for all. We need to get to number six before them or will continue to hear the Cowgirl loving media for years to come!
Willis will be a 49er for Life! We converted him to the Real America’s Team! Were coming Back and like Joe Montana use to say were going to kick Ass. When it’s all done every player out there is going to want to come play for the 49ers. The Excellence of the NFL.

Also, it is sounding like the lambs and the Skins are interested in our former starting right tackle….TRADE HIM TO THE SKINS. The reason I say this is because they have taken so much of our garbage it isn’t even funny….plus they will give us an outrageously high draft pick for him. REMEMBER BRANDON LLOYD?? He is their number three receiver right now and we got a 3rd and a 4th for him!!! HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!

No updated 81 uniforms. Keep them the same as they were in 81. The Yankee Uniforms would lose the class if they were updated. They are original. Classic! Keep the 81 uni’s the same!
Keep everything the same! Bring back the class! or stay the same as they are now!
What’s the deal for next week? Can the Niner’s go into ST. Louis and come out with a win? I think our D is looking great (at least the secondary is) but can Franky and the rest of the O pull through?

D looks monsterous, but the Receivers with the exception of Lelie and Battle are good. I think Battle, and Lelie are the only dependable receivers out their. Jackson needs to step up a notch. I think we should be fine, but I want a ring and I’m not sure that our receivers are good enough. I hope I’m wrong, but in the meanwhile we need to bring in Lelie permanetly and give Hill an oppurtunity more. We need to experiment as well and rotate Verno Davis at Receiver. their was some talk of this before. He has the heigth of a receiver, but the size of a tight end. Bring V.D. in to Receiver Coach! Experiment, it might work!
D.Smith had a good game. He was second on the team in tackles, and second on the team in solo tackles(behind Willis). Even Nolan said Smith played good on Monday Night. I was at the game and I had a blast. I’ve been going to 1 game a year for 8 years and i’ve never seen 9er fans that excited. That place was jumpin.
Arnaz, Mr. Clutch!? To bad he tried to lose the game when he fumbled, and was the last to get a stab at recovering it- Good player, big fan, but I am confused by the ‘Mr.Clutch’ after he dropped the game on the doorstep.

Yeah, Medford. I would probably give him a C + beause there WERE times that he REALLY came through, but ALSO there were times that Edge had him and I was wondering how he didn’t wrap that up. Consistency is what I would like to see out of D. Smith. I think he will show us better games in the future.
I have mixed feelings because sometimes he REALLY delivers and then sometimes he DOESN’T. To me it is an ability thing. He has a good nose for what is going on or the next play will be, but sometimes he doesn’t have the ability to finish.
Any new news on Frank Gore’s mom? I haven’t heard anything from anywhere else besides that Canes website. I REALLY hope that isn’t true.
PLEASE SIT D.SMITH DOWN. THE MAN MISSED TACKLES, ON THE BLITZ HE WAS NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH TO GET TO THE QB, AND JUST NEED TO BE A BACKUP ON SOMEONE ELSE TEAM
Ashley Lelie is still the 4th wideout on the team. He is sitll behind Taylor Jacobs. Mike Nolan has said that Ashley has to keep practing and keeping up to speed with the 1st team offence. I dont buy that, i think Nolan is still pissed about him missing OTA’s. This guy has proven he can play and he can be a deep threat. The thing i;m hoping for is this since Nolan has said he has to practice and keep up to speed what is he going to do when Taylor Jacobs keeps droping balls in games and teams dont respect Taylor as a deep threat. Ashley please keep your head up and practice hard cause i hope to see you on the field not just for these two years but for years to come
I hope that is not true about Frank Gores mom.And if it is i wish him the best.And Medford n Ryan i agree with both of you about Derick Smith.Was Smith rotating with Brandon moore?I didnt take notice to that.
I find it very comforting to see us debating our third receiver so much! A sign we have truly made some progress at the position in the past couple years. I am confident Nolan will have the guy that will help us win in there regardless of whether its Lelie or Jacobs. I am much more concerned about getting VD involved in the offense. This has to be a priority! Get him the damn ball!
Medford. Your obviously not very smart. D. Smith hit him and let him go because it was a pass play. If he would have done much more to him at that point it would have been a penalty. Were 1-0 with D.Smith starting and we didn’t give up a 100 yard game with D.Smith in the game. Again, he was second on the team in tackles and even Nolan said he had a good game. But to wrap this up I do agree with Ryan the first about being a little more consistant, but our D-fense had an outstanding game WITH D-SMITH IN THE GAME. I’m glad we have him on our team. He has alot of experiance.

On a differant subject. I think we should have Lelie at the third WR spot, Jacobs is just not gonna get it done. Cut B.Williams or Jacobs and get B.Gilmore back. Were gonna whoop the Lams 31-13 or something like that.
Gilmore is working at Burger King in Daly City Adam. Go tell him you want it your way!
