none!!!!no receivers in the first round!i just heard tampa bay have 2 second round picks.if they dont try to move up,i say we should try to trade our 3rd and forth round pick to get one of there second round picks.
I would be fine with getting an additional pick in the first round that receiver and getting defense- the best of both worlds! whether it be receiver or Defense I just think we should go for two in the first by giving up some our late picks! I would like Jarrett, Sidney Rice, and Carriker or smith, but I would go for the receiver first, or will pull a Mario Williams Mistake Ryan- Bring on your screenames I’ll ignore!
Josh bro we need thaty receiver Tell the youngsters!
those both aren’t bad ideas tampa probably doesn’t want to get rid of one of those though gruden is on the hot seat and needs to win now…i do however think we will trade up in the first…but it is hard to say who we will take i am thinking bowe…i thought you were talking about wr at 11 which i dont think will happen but if we trade up then it could happen….there still is a lot of great WR’s that will slip to the second i just wish we picked about 3-5 spots better…who knows…this niners staff hasn’t let me down yet when it comes to the draft…they know who they want
they have a system they believe in and it works…if a guy who they like and have rated high on their board is falling they will jump up(trade) and get him…that’s their philosophy…but they are firm they trust their board they dont ever get caught off gaurd…they work through the scenarios before the draft over and over so they have a great sense of what is going on…you would to if you had millions of millions resting on it
bowe or meachem,IF……we get a receiver in the first, second round i say jason as my number one second rounder if not him then craig davis, sidney rice ,anthony gonzalas or tedd ginn jras a last resort.
jason hill as my top second round pick
i agree i love j hill and s. rice in that order ted ginn jr will be gone by then though
take the picks we got from the red skins and give em back, the 3rd and 4th rounder and our first rounder and trade up to number 6th pick and get landry.
i think jarrett isnt a sure thing and thats why he will get drafted down to late first round pick to mid second rounder.
cj,gaines adams, landry, willis, branch, j anderson for the 11th pick my guess is we will get willis
if jarrett falls to us in the 2nd we MUST take him even if he is still there from the bears 31st pick we must trade and get him……..MUST great way to start the draft willis and bowe meachum, jarrett, hill, or rice wouldnt complain with any of them
jarrett is about to come on jim rome is burning.
49ersgoldrusher must be a cheerleader then right? Members of the gold rush are hot but probably not all that smart, so maybe you should post a picture of yourself instead of your retarded comments. You are accusing me and ryan of what you are guilty of lonetexasninerfan.
trade smiley to the redskins and a third and forth round pick for there first rounder.
well we only got to saturday to talk the same talk.then you guys can talk about what you dont like about them and why they wont fit into our systeme or scemes.
I would do that trade and Landry or Adams because I think they will be both available with that pick. We are taking a receiver in the second round like it or not…..the only way that changes is if we pull the Manny Lawson. IF they were going to do that they won’t pull the trigger at least until thursday so the other teams don’t have time to think about it.
WE PICKED ALEX SMITH TWO YEARS AGO,ON THIS DAY.AND NOW ITS UP TO HIM TO TAE THIS OFFENSE TO THE NEXT LEVEL.4 MORE DAYS TO GO SHOPPING AT THE BIG AND TALL STORE FOR ALAN BRANCH.TRADE LARRY ALLEN TO THE STEELERS FOR A YOUNGER ALAN FANECA.
with only one year left on smiley’s contract teams will not trade for him with that high of pick without getting a chance to work out a contract extension first…we won’t trade him before the draft i am afraid to say…we should just resign him but they dont like him for some no good reason…it looks like kwame is the only bait and we won’t get much for him either…
i wouldnt mind trading kwame and our 2008 1st rd pick for a 1st rd pick this year or our 2008 1st rd pick and this year’s 3rd or fourth rd pick for a first rd this year…does this make sense to you guys…waht do you think?
i would agree for calvin johnson and only for calvin johnson if no trade with raiders i say no. cuz it looks like were gonna be good next year accounting for a late pick.
I think Nolan likes having this many picks because he will solidify A LOT of positions since most of the picks are in the first four rounds. I just don’t see us moving up with regard to the 11th pick. We MIGHT pull the Manny Lawson, but like I said, probably not going to see anything ATLEAST until Thursday. We should make a move for another first or second rounder, but it still isn’t Christmas…….yet. A few more days to kill and then there will be some news.
The thing is……I’m sorry to say it……..don’t think that if LEVI BROWN is still available when we are on the clock that Nolan won’t take him instead of Willis, Carriker, or Branch. I would NOT BE HAPPY if he made this move. If we HAVE TO grab one in the second then OK, but not with our FIRST PICK.
ill tell you one thing,if we get a rookie receiver, dont be shocked if he doesnt have a 1000 yard season.last years rookie of the year had joe horn a 1000 yard receiver to teach him, same thing with randy moss had chris carter a 1000 yard receiver that same season teaching him and tory holt had isaac bruce to teach him.and plus we run the ball to much.
REALISTICALLY….
1st round- Adam Carriker DE, Pat Willis LB
2nd round- Anthony Gonzalez WR, Sidney Rice WR
Both first round options would instantly make our defense better.. I think that our linebackers are good enough (for right now) and we r in desperate need of a PLAYMAKER on the d-line, like Carriker
At WR we need a guy that can come in and make plays.. Anthony Gonzalez is a greta route runner w/ great hands..he also runs a 4.40, the only knock on him is that he is only 6 ft
Sidney Rice is 6′3 and has proven that he can be a playmaker, however he needs time to develope his routes ..
Aye Ryan what position did you play at the JuCo ranks? Off topic, but oh well..all were doing is speculating, and most of this i hear over and over..
im starting to like jason hill, but they are saying he could slip into the end of the first round.so i dont know.i dont know if that is true or not.
i have been saying for months now that jason hill reminds me of marvin harrison..he is nice
plus i like charles johnson the de from georgia.they say hes got good strength to play the run but is ok as a pass rusher.but we dont need a passrusher.we need a runstopper and i think he is one that can be our runstopper .
thats who he reminds me of to.if he could learn to break quicker he would be just as good.we need to get alex a long term answer at receiver and stop playing musical chairs with the receivers.
we need willis
whats the name of the song before the last one
